Jesus christ get him a bigger tank, atleast 20 gallons.
You should get em' a bigger fish tank (They grow bigger in bigger enviorments)
That's a common misconception. A tanks size will not stunt a fishes growth. That fish would grow the same size in a 5 gallon tank as it would in a 500 gallon tank.
Your fish is not abnormal, it is a koi. Kois can live to 200 years, but the average lifespan is around 25 years. They are also larger than goldfish.

Agreed. This fish is nothing special, Koi can get quite big. Even your average goldfish get big, It's just that everyone is so careless with your basic goldfish that they die within a few years.

My fish aren't even a year old and they're bigger than that... they do live in a pond in my back yard but that's beside the point.

Never release any fish into the wild. No exceptions
I guess it's SOME KIND OF MONSTER!
Get it a bigger tank.
And get it a friend while you're at it, it looks lonely.

My mothers friend gifted it to us. Before we started feeding it with normal fish food, it was being fed on bread.
(It's 19 cm or so. )
My mum had a goldfish which lived to 12, then some wanker put vodka in the tank and it died :(
i'd wanna stick around for 20 years if my tank was so bad ass
Out of curiosity, how much water does your tank hold?

I had a Japanese fighter fish or something like that, then being the twat I am put it in a tank with a few gold fish and some guppy. Woke up the next morning and the fighter fish had bit one of the gold fish's fins off. It was horrible, the Gold fish tryed swimming away but the Fighter fish just kept coming. Watching it was like watching Laurie strode running away from Michael myers.
I remember this thread. Souls were eaten. Lols were had. :v:

I had a goldfish that lived for around 14 years, and it grew to be huge. On one or two occasions, I would put one of those algae-eating bottom feeder fish in its tank, and the goldfish would eat them.
Its cute :3:

what the fuck?
I had some goldfish like this. They were like 12 years old and went completely white also. We bought them a new fish tank - They died a week later. :(
Perhaps it was a lack of sunlight?
My goldfish gets lots of sun set sunlight.
This sounds very fishy to me.
Toxic waste anyone?

I had a gold fish that brutally murdered the others and then he ate them.
i'm not buying a bigger tank. I always hear stories about "I bought it a new fish tank and the fish died". It's lived in the same tank it's whole life and i'm sure that even if it could care about it's living conditions i'm sure it would be used to it by now.
I bought a Chinese Beta fish, which according to my local pet store should only live roughly a week, lived for 4 glorious years. R.I.P. Phred.
Shit, i thought my fish lived a long time of like 7 months.

I thought of a perfect name for your fish... Whiskers.
Our fish all died so we now have one or two fish in a tank that hasn't been cleaned since the last decade.
Tank is so dirty that I can't see in it. Schrödinger's fish?
I have a dirty tank too, they lived there for about one month.
