I seriously doubt congress will pass this. There's no way they'll allow so many breaches of our rights.
I seriously doubt congress will pass this. There's no way they'll allow so many breaches of our rights.
It's not congressional, it's the entire UN.
It's not congressional, it's the entire UN.
The UN?! This is very serious shit then isn't it?
The UN?! This is very serious shit then isn't it?
Yep.
Is this shit seriously going affect all UN countries?
copy your entire storage device
Anybody else feel like setting up a Micro ATX lan box with 10 terabytes of storage and taking it as as carry on? Could fill the entire thing with nothing but the Quran or something else inconspicuous.
Fuck the UN.
seriously, what good is left in the world?

fill it with the song barbie girl (buy it first)
If this passes, I'm finding a country that isn't in the UN, or even, taking over Sealand.
This is it, my growing fears have been realized. And a few years ago you would have called bullshit if I mentioned this happening. I hope you all see that our government is a corrupt piece of shit that does not care about what you think is right, or what the fucking constitution says is right. Of course, most of liberal fuckwits are going to continue on with you constant adoration of government that would gladly kill you, or thousands of people for that matter, to tightening their grip on your right for life, liberty and the pursuit, not the guarantee, of happiness.
If this passes, I'm finding a country that isn't in the UN, or even, taking over Sealand.
Good luck on that, the document implies that members may enforce ACTA even if the infringer is not in a country affiliated with the UN.
This needs to be stickied. It must be seen by all eyes.
While I agree that steps need to be taken to limit internet piracy, no amount of security or enforcement is worth blatantly violating somebody's constitutional rights.
This couldn't possibly get passed.
I hope Canada doesn't get influenced into this shit like we always do.
If you guys would like more info on the ACTA and our movement against it visit http://acta.us.to/ [editline]04:51AM[/editline]
I hope Canada doesn't get influenced into this shit like we always do.
Canada is one of the countries involved in ACTA
It's over guys We lost
Instead of blaming it on the ISP, better methods should be implemented to stop piracy.
Piracy is too demonized, industries still make tons off their products, so a few people gets a freebie, who cares? It's a good price for basic human rights and privacy. [editline]06:54PM[/editline] Not to mention that I think ALL content should be free to use/distributed after two years on the open market, atleast software, since people could then use it for development/improvement, not to mention that then for once the commercial goons will get a taste of having no secrets, instead of the average Joe. [editline]06:59PM[/editline] Also, if this happens, then all of you, PIRATE EVERYTHING. Best way to break a system like this is if we all break the rules, they can't arrest all of us.
