I went with two friends, we all got in for free and we all enjoyed the shit out of it. I didn't go into it expecting anything and I'd see it again probably. The only bits that bothered me were the parents in some cases and of course the twins, I mean who even liked them? Robots should be dignified beings like every other auto bot/decepticon. The concept of comedy relief auto bot twins was good but they should've been British and making witty remarks rather than "YO MAN LETS GET SUM CHIKIN".
I walked into this movie hoping that it would be at least as awesome as Transformers 1 but it was kind of let down for me. I'm not gonna go over the obvious stuff like Megan's ass, racist autobots, etc, so I'll post
some other issues I had in the movie.
-POWER LEVELS. Seriously, it seemed like random transformers got super buffed when the story needed it or something. I remember back in the first movie, Optimus was on the losing end of a one-on-one battle with Megatron. Here in the sequel, he takes on 3 decepticons INLCUDING Megatron himself quite well, not getting totally owned and actually taking one out before Megatron assassinates him. Although this fight scene was quite epic, the first movie kind of led people to believe that Megatron was the uber-decepticon that could rival prime.
-FALLEN's WEAKNESS. According to the story, only another "prime" could kill him, but when Optimus Prime layed the smackdown, he didn't really seem to do anything special other than kick his ass, albeit in an epic fashion. What is it about a Prime that makes him immune to non-prime transformers?
-SPEAKING OF PRIMES. So apparently The Fallen could only be killed by a prime, seemingly due to the fact that he's a prime himself right? How come Optimus does not inherit this awesome ability and is still able to get killed halfway by Megatron, a non-prime halfway through the movie?
-I HAD POWERS? The last fight had so much potential to be super epic with uber-upgraded Optimus and the seemingly omnipotent Fallen. After all, he can teleport anywhere he wants to with a precision unlike that of Jetfire, and he has the power to levitate whatever crap he wants to. But noooo, the Fallen is quite the gentleman when it comes to fighting one-on-one with Optimus, completely just going at him physically with assistance from Megatron. Oops, did I saw one-on-one earlier? Yea, apparently Optimus got so jacked that he could take on his arch enemy Megatron as well as his arch enemy's master The Fallen in under five minutes.
Overall, I would have forgiven the movie's shallow plot just cause the action scenes were awesome, but these little inconsistencies kind of ruined it for me.

Hah, couldn't agree more. None of those were redeeming points for the movie.
Also, I really hate that fuckin' S7 guy. He's annoying as hell in this movie and now I can't take him seriously in any role. The only one I felt he suited was the sneaky butler in Mr. Deeds.

I can honestly not decide what I thought of the movie. It was funnier than the first one, but the effects were flawed and the robots kept calling each other lame names and it sorta reminded me of "Your momma"-jokes.
5/10 should do. Loving the soundtrack btw.

All the characters were shitty, But it was a non Japanese movie about giant robots fighting and shit and it was never boring so that's cool.

I hated this movie so much, it was awful. It also doesn't help i can't stand Megan Fox.
I saw it, and i enjoyed it. it had funny parts, really cool action and john tuturro is good as always.
only thing i wanted was more characterazation of the decepticons. the only deceptions with any extended dialogue were megatron, the fallen, and starscream.
I am going to see it again today for free, good stuff man.
I thought most of it was pretty good.

Honestly, I thought it was decent at best. The plot was a mess, and the only redeeming factor was Megan Fox. Every single guy in the theater stood up and cheered when she was first shown.
It was a great moment indeed.

This movie was so mediocre, I just wasn't feeling it, and Linkin Park made part of the soundtrack, I hate those guys.

The plot was terrible, but the film manages to keep you entertained. And Jetfire FTW
