If you both were trashed, I wouldn't consider it anything serious. Your friend might, but people make extremely stupid decisions when shit-faced. You both had your inhibitions lowered by alcohol and it got a little bit out of hand. You could choose to tell your friend, potentially risking losing him as a friend/gaining massive respect if he doesn't hate you for it, or you could hide it and if he ever finds out, you're fucked.
It's a difficult decision, but one you gotta make. It really depends on the kind of person he is.
