I don't like bottled water. It's always been too... tasteless. British tap water has god knows what in it, but I don't care because it's sweet and tastes holy.
Yep. The disgusting shit in tap water is what makes it taste so great.
In a fast food restaurant, ask for a cup then fill it up with soda. I'm a genius
Places where they have red plastic cups and clears ones, they'll give you the clear one if you ask for water, so you go and fill the cup with sprite
In a fast food restaurant, ask for a cup then fill it up with soda. I'm a genius
Everyone does that. Just use a clear soda so it looks like water
Everyone does that. Just use a clear soda so it looks like water
I just fill it up with Dr Pepper. The workers don't give a shit, but maybe it's because they know me.
yeah it's totally against the war? anyway it's optional to charge for the service of serving water in restaurants and bars etc, most of them do not charge but god damn it's annoying when they do. one club i visited charged $1.5 for a glas of water
Yeah, there's a concert venue around here that does the same thing. If you want bottled water, $3. You want regular tap? $1.50.
Does it apply to a college cafeteria?
Yes, because most collage cafeterias are third party businesses.
bottled water just tastes better. Tap is better for you but damn it just tastes so bad. cold tap water is the nastiest shit I've ever had.
Bottled water is just expensive tap water.
Bottled water is just expensive tap water.
except it tastes different.
except it tastes different.
In a lot of cases, bottled water is tap water from a specific city. It could taste different to you because it's from a city that is not yours.
I'm pretty sure that the water cup thing is required by law
It absolutely is not. I worked at a Mcdonalds where we had to tell all the customers we weren't allowed to do that. It sucked because people would get mad at ME for something corporate decided... Anyway, bottled water here we go!
Bottled water (in the US), isn't held to the same standards as city tapwater (if it tastes bad, it may be your pipes or your faucet, it's rarely the water supply that tastes bad). Bottled water is generally not as good for you as tap water due to the lax laws, it's also generally water that's just from another city's tap water. If you really don't like tapwater, get a brita filter. The water goes through a charcoal filter, making it taste and have a similar mouthfeel to Fiji water or the type.
I love how most bottled water companies just get the water right out of the tap and put it in the bottle and then somehow it tastes "different". LOL
well i still use the same bottled water i bought years ago just refill and go :O
Don't know about that but this one time a restaurant charged for a toilet visit. it was so hilarious I couldn't help it but not pay and go to the toilet anyway the moral of the story, i paid for food but i wont pay for shitting their food into their toilets [editline]16th October 2010[/editline] Bottled water. What in the fuck could be wrong with that?! The bottle.
except it tastes different.
You must have really shitty tap water where you live. I can't tell the difference between tap and bottled. It all tastes like water to me. The last time I bought bottled water was a month ago. For the bottle. It's just so convenient to have a bottle I can just cap and put in my backpack.
In Finland no one buys bottled water except maybe for car trips fuck yeah some of the cleanest tap water in the world
I prefer the taste of bottled water, but I rarely buy it anyways.
Water has taste?
It absolutely is not. I worked at a Mcdonalds where we had to tell all the customers we weren't allowed to do that. It sucked because people would get mad at ME for something corporate decided... Anyway, bottled water here we go! [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1286985425079.jpg[/img_thumb]
Maybe in California it is then, because I've never been to a restaurant (including McDonalds) that hasn't given me free tap water.
Water has taste?
Yes, as do most things. Unless it has absolutely nothing in it, but you rarely come by 100% pure water.
Scottish tap water is awesome. One of the cleanest in the world. Right off the mountains
I don't really find bottled water worth it... I mean the water you get in your house is much cheaper
Studies have showed that the tap water in North America is perfectly safe to drink right out the faucet. At least in Canada that is.
The well attached to my house has far too much calcium in it to drink from the tap. We either have to distill it or drink from bottled water.
I asked for a cup to get water at the school cafe, and the lady said if you want water then you'll have to buy a bottle from the vending machine. :saddowns:
It is the law in the USA, that if you ask for a cup of water, they must provide it to you.
I prefer the taste of bottled water, but I rarely buy it anyways.
This.. Its getting expensive now a days
Municipal water suppliers have a lot more laws about how they clean and distribute water than bottled water companies do. More often than not municipal water is cleaner than bottled water. Well water is a different story though, that stuff is very easily contaminated and even if it's clean, it's usually very hard water, so it causes calcium buildup and tends to have a foul taste and smell.
I like my tap water. Heck I take it with me on vacations.
I don't drink water. Juice, tea, sodas, anything, but not that tasteless thing.
I don't drink water. Juice, tea, sodas, anything, but not that tasteless thing.
Enjoy your kidney stones
