Here's a film a student at my school made about it.

While I watched that I chugged 3 bottles of water. Then took a piss shortly after.
Okay then..
Studies have showed that the tap water in North America is perfectly safe to drink right out the faucet. At least in Canada that is.
Certainly not at my house. The water is filled with iron. Filters need to be replaced like once a month and they are expensive.
To everyone saying bottled water is for idiots. I agree, if you live in a place where the tap water wont kill you. The tap water in the city I live in has the worst quality of any other city in the country (Pensacola) so I would say it's understandable to buy bottled water here.
Wasn't there something a year or two ago about how some bottled water companies just filter tap water and then bottle it?
Haha I thought of

How much does that cost? If it's not THAT much, I would totally buy it just for the bottle. Those are some nice bottles.

Probably a lot more. BECAUSE of the bottle.
The tap water in my area doesn't taste too bad, but it does have a taste I don't really like. I prefer bottled water, but to be honest I usually make tea or something rather than just drink tap water anyway.
Those bottles of water are purified to a larger extent, and sometimes have added chemicals to them, to give them a specific taste. That, or they're bottled from a source not found locally and have a different taste. I personally just ask for a water cup(that's what we call them where I live).

Wrong fucking vid. Fuck
It tastes terrible then
Use a glass bottle.
Bottled water won't give you cancer
Funny thing is if you go to China as a tourist, you HAVE to drink bottled water, since the tap water is poisonous to the point where it can kill you from drinking a few cups of it within 3 hours.
:ohdear:
Water from the tap is very good here in sweden so bottled water isn't that common
Ozarka water actually IS spring water, and that's why it taste better then normal water.

I live in a remote location now and we got our own well. Fresh water.
I live in a litte town in Sweden where the cleanest water in the whole region is, thats why the coca cola factory (which is just 100 meters from my house.) is only stationed here!
The tap water tastes as good as bottled, and is ICE COLD too!
I never understood what "ice cold water" means. Ice is less than 0C, so if your water was ice cold, wouldn't it be below zero, thus freezing?

cold so it hurts your brain.
tap water over here tastes sour
Sadly at least 2/3 of the houses in my city have tap water that you can't drink, so they're forced to buy bottled water.
I personally don't like the taste, too plastic-y.
Heres how it's broken down for me.
Where I live I get my water from an underground well (I live in the middle of the forrest, no cities, and my closest neighbor is a mile down the road) and the water is fresh and clean. Whenever I go on vacation somewhere I buy bottled water because I CANNOT drink water from the tap without getting sick. The flouride makes me puke and the water tastes like 300 miles of pipe.
Bottled Water ftw when I don't have access to my clean well water.
I work at a fast food place and we are required to supply cups of water. I don't mind, but making me refill your cup 3 times just gets me pissed off cause you're too cheap to buy a bottle of water.
I love the taste of natural 'mineral' bottle water.
Pipe water tastes weird to me.
We have 0.5 litres of bottled water for only 30 cents here in third world country.
Water is for casuals.

why aren't the fountain drinks just set up where the customers can reach them. it's annoying when the fountain drinks are behind the counter where you can't even get to them.
and no one is going to pay for a $2 bottle of water when they can get the water for free. it's a waste of money.
Seeing as if you live in a civilized area(North america for instance) if you're paying for bottled water, you're an idiot. It's not special water in anyway, it's essentially tap water that's been bottled by Pepsi or Coke or one of their subsidiaries and sold back to you at ridiculous price. And no, the water is not safer. There is all of 1 person in the entire FDA that deals with water. ONE. PERSON. The water is not as safe as tap water, the water is not as cheap as tap water, and that water is draining natural resources in the areas it's bottled in massively, so much so that their water tables are suffering.
Don't buy bottled water unless you absolutely have to.
Because those Spring Bottled waters are really just lying to us us right? Has nobody ever heard of spring water on facepunch?
I've never seen the point of buying bottled water. Honestly, side by side, I can hardly tell the difference. Any difference I can detect certainly isn't worth £1.29 for the privilege.
