[QUOTE=RR_Raptor65;42421079]I was able to finish the sword just in time, and wrapped the grip after I got to California. Also I accidentally cut myself while doing the final fitting of the grip, guess the sword decided it didn't have enough of my blood in it.
I also brought my Type 99 Arisaka with me so there's some pics of it with that just because.

Wow, from a coil spring to a fantastic looking katana, good job!

That looks incredible, I hope your father is happy with it.
The real question is if it is capable of cutting stuff. Slice some fruits, bro.

RR_Raptor made, it, That makes me 100% convinced that it is entirely capable to cutting stuff, extremely well too, I would imagine.
Should mount it to your Type 99, would be one hell of a bayonet!
Holy fucking shit.
That is all.
Your craftsmanship never ceases to amaze me.
That looks amazing. You should definitely record a project on video for people to see, a bit like that giant robot Jamie guy, would make a real interesting show.
When I start on that Gladius I will, but that may not be until November or December. I was just in a big rush to get this Katana done before I left for California. His birthday is tomorrow so it's all good, gonna set up some plastic bottles to teach him how to use the sword.
Also picked up a pinata, so we're gonna set it up and be all "Oh right, you need something to whack that with."
I'm curious as to how you wrapped the grip in cord, is there a guide online to it?

This is the one I used:

The wrap I used really wasn't the best though, but there wasn't enough time to get the right lace.
That is literally so cool I can't handle it.
