I don't get why people make a big deal over this. I do believe there is some unknown force behind everything in the universe, since we barely know much of the universe, but I'm not letting that get in the way of regular logic. If you think otherwise that's alright, the more ideas there are the better.
Jesus is supposed to have made some miracles using god's powers, and in my analogy moonlight is supposed to cure cancer. People (sometimes) claim that Jesus' powers is definite proof of god's existence, and I'm still awaiting the proof of that Jesus had these powers, the same way that I'm awaiting the cure of cancer from moonlight. You could use judgement day as well, and that'll be proof of god as well. Most christians expect heaven or hell as well, that's some kind of a result. I also don't question the powers of moonlight, but it curing cancer would be proof of it. I don't really see your point.
His point was, your analogy and the topic at hand are on completely a different spectrum.
If it weren't for the fact that I don't feel like getting myself into an even worse mess with the people in my area that I know... I would create a group called "God created Hitler".
Man, I would love to see the reactions from that.

Yes but the problem is that most religious people won't accept logic nor reasoning and their immoral religion controls their decisions
All of the Christians I've met are annoying, stupid, obnoxious and love to flaunt their beliefs and rub it in peoples faces 24/7.

No if you read what I wrote it isn't; I simply have to believe that moonlight cures cancer, the way people simply believe in god, and it'll be precisely the same. No one can definitely declare that it isn't true, as I might say that I've seen it happen before. People can try all they want, and I can just say that it doesn't always happen, though I expect that it might happen some day, and nobody can definitively declare that it isn't true.

The christians I've met are really nice people who respect opinions.

All the Christians I've met are pretty much the same as normal people. They just tend to be nicer, they swear much less, they are generally more reliable, and they pray to God if they are stressed (whatever works for them, right?)
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I liked it.

Any Christian who knows about their religion doesn't defend it that way. They would probably bring up the historical evidence that supports Christianity.
People don't realize it but unlike most other religions, Christianity is a religion based on history rather than people trying to explain things off the top of their head.
Not saying there's anything that's fullproof and proves Christianity, but it's at least better than "you can't prove me wrong"

Well, Islam is sort of history based as well, so I don't see how that promotes chritianity specifically.
The Christians I have had experience with are all massive judgmental hypocrites.
If Christians are allowed to have that "It isn't a religion, it's a relationship" bullshit atheists can do whatever they want because that shit is annoying. Yes, it is a goddamn religion, stop twisting it around like that because it isn't working.
When it comes to religion, everyone is firm in there beliefs and unwilling to bend. The beat thing to do is try not to get in people face about your beliefs all the time, otherwise your going to get into an argument and piss someone off.

Even when they're not in your face, why allow these people to blindly say evolution is only a theory(people seem to think this is something someone just made up) but in reality there has been hundreds of pieces of evidence to confirm that it has actually taken place in humans. Why allow someone to believe in something that can be disproved within the first three pages of Genesis simply by looking at the facts?
-snip fuck didn't read the group-

Most likely no matter how much you try to convince them, they'll just hold on to there beliefs tighter.
If there going to leave there religion, they'll do it on there own.
We're in the year of 2011, this isn't the age of superstition anymore. This is the age of reason and these people consistently hold our society back due to their superstitions and unfounded beliefs. We need to promote intellectualism at all costs as a society.

Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all have roots in Judaism and all believe in the same God.

Yes, YHWH = Allah = God
If you didn't already know.

"The same god"
That can in my opinion be discussed; they're definitely referring to the same person, and many aspects of the religions are similar, but god's role differ greatly throughout those religions.
All of the Christians I've met are annoying, stupid, obnoxious and love to flaunt their beliefs and rub it in peoples faces 24/7.
There's lots of people in my school who I had no idea were religious until something came in and they expressed an opinion or something. Why? Because they don't flaunt it. There's probably plenty people you know who're religious but they just don't tell everyone.

Oh I most certainly agree with what you say here. People can perceive a person differently, but it's still the same person, you know? Like, maybe the Jews have it right, and the perception of YHWH is actually what He is like, and us Christians and the Islamic people are wrong, it is still the same person.

I made a friend at the beginning of this year (October), and he didn't know until just a few days ago that I was Catholic (he is too). It's just not something that comes up that often.

That genuinely made me want to punch my computer screen. I didn't think people could be so unintelligent.
They're not oppressing anyone,They're just spreading the truth that 'There is no god'
Stop it with all this fucking bullshit that there's no god.
There has been no evidence or solid facts on either side that god does or doesn't exist, it's all theoretical, I hate thiests who try to convert other people for their own good and I hate you athiests flaunting the theory that god doesn't exist.
Stop with flaunting your beliefs.
This is the year 3011 and we should not care what others believe and let everyone have the freedom of choice. Oh wait it's 2011 my bad.

That's a very large stereotype, just sharing my opinion.
Stop generalizing a group that consists of over 2.1 billion people. That's ignorant and stupid.

Likely the kind of asshole that wants his own baseball but gets jealous when they spot someone that has the one they want -- or something
