I thought this shit was only ever said ironically rofl
For the right price, I would actually buy a few of those, just because they look kind of cool and are different. Like, 300x better than shitty p-mags.
And 300x worse than good pmags.
And 300x worse than good pmags.
Yeah. But for the right price? Like, those fucking magpul mags are like $30 per mag, which is fucking crazy.
#yolo [editline]1st May 2013[/editline] But really I would probably be fine with any mags, those things are hideous though.
I don't like anything but the standard mags for guns personally.
I felt the same way, but PMAGs have become so commonplace that I eventually got used to them and now they hold a special place in my heart.
Yeah. But for the right price? Like, those fucking magpul mags are like $30 per mag, which is fucking crazy.
I have 7 of the PTS PMAGS, if you have used them, you should know why they're worth it.
I'm thinking about buying the magpul gmags because I like the idea of a G36 mag with no lugs
my noobsofter friend sent this to me like "omggg this is the coolest fucking thing evar!"
like hit detection vest? *meanwhile during a game* "oh let me pick this piece of dirt off my vest" *pokes vest to get dirt off* *BOOP BOOP BOOP HIT DETECTED YOU ARE NOW OUT*
Yes, if you stab yourself with your pinky at 272 miles per hour so that the bone goes clean through your skin and provides a hard strike surface to somewhat approximate the impact characteristics of a 6mm BB at 400fps then I guess. Otherwise it's a piece of cake with distributed sensors to tell a BB from casual impact. BBs are very small and very fast.
"oh hey man how you doing" *pats back* *NNEEEEEE BOOP YOU'RE OUT*
"oh hey man how you doing" *pats back* *NNEEEEEE BOOP YOU'RE OUT*
*walking through woods* "all these damn twigs poking at me" *tiny branch swings back and hits vest* *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP YOUR DEAD*
South Korean players use hit detection vests in indoor game and IIRC Redwolf played around with the vests and said they hit them with everything at the south korean field and the only thing that set it off was a bb
what if you shoot someone from far away in an outdoor field
then they get hit from a bb from far away
They even threw the bb very lightly at the vests by hand and it was still able to recognize that it was hit.
If it works it's a step in the right direction. But it's going to be a lot of work to implement this practically without tampering, affordability issues, compatibility issues, etc.
There's still the whole, hitting someone anywhere besides the system means it won't count/they won't call it. When I've seen hit calling systems in use, people take literally hundreds of hits to the arms before they take one in the chest that they have to call.
Then keep shooting, if they don't call it, choose a fleshier target. Repeat for desired effect.
Then keep shooting, if they don't call it, choose a fleshier target. Repeat for desired effect.
That definitely does not work on everyone.
1998. Highschool sophomore Derek enters the woods behind his aunt's house brandishing the Tippman he stole from his older brother, who's a Navy seal, I meant it you guys. He removes the tumble-dryer faded "Master of Puppets" T-shirt from his pale, freckled chest. The other players' eyes widen at his bravery "I'm ready to play" he claims. "I'm ready to freaking own you turds"
That definitely does not work on everyone.
This^ I once fired all 48 rounds into someone from a distance of ~8' didn't call the hit
