Yesterday at HGA I saw a guy using an AUG with an M4 Carrying handle on it for a sight. I should have took a picture.

I only know he was using it that day because the AK he usually uses with that kit was broken after he fell down stairs with it at another field. No idea about the story behind the M4 handle.

Dedicated vertical grips were a rare thing back then, with only a few guns, like the Thompson M1, getting custom-made ones. Today's guns are made like lego bricks, with the rail systems and all that, which upped the interchangeability of gun parts significantly.
