I hate SVD's with pistol grips thanks to the mag placement

It looks comfy and modern, not everything has to have wood on it to function.

Somehow I doubt that the standard pistol grip for a basic rifle is more comfortable than the very nice grip found on a designated marksman rifle. The only things that are improvements on the base gun here are the lighter weight materials and the adjusting stock.

Also, I guess rails are handy but they're really not doing anything here, and that handguard is definitely less comfortable than the stock one. The nice thing about many old wooden guns is that they were actually designed to fit into people's hands naturally (although they are of course less adjustable than modern parts).
