Jesus fucking Christ, the hell is up with his neck? It's like a cheap rubber glove or some shit. Makes me feel ill. Also, I believe the problem with it is the scope, then the T1, then the thumb-over-bore.
well he shoots real bullets like all the time
I thought he had some sort of lo-profile magnifier but i realized it was just flipped to the side. But that neck rubber...
The magnifier looks low because it's flipped to the side, T1s are a great optic, and thumb over bore is very effective at controlling vertical movement, especially on a gun chambered in 7.62 like that one

Gee, I'm no doctor, but I think what's going on with his neck might have to do with the fact he is shooting a larger caliber rifle... Also, what's wrong with the magnifier, T1, or thumb over bore?

Thumb over bore is perfectly fine when implemented with real firearms, same with the fabled "Chris Costa AR15 reload." Hell, the TOB grip is even fine for airsofters if you find it comfortable. After I switched from using a full solid facemask and had more options in terms of weapon grips, I started gripping my M4 with a psuedo thumb-over-bore grip without my thumb actually over the bore. (Literally the same grip, but my thumb down to the side againt my index finger. It's really comfy and I do actually find myself able to "drive" the gun to targets faster and more accurately. What gets me is when airsofters do it and then tell others they're gripping/reloading their weapon wrong, or use the Costa reload. If you wanna hold your gun a certain way and you like it, great. But dont get pissy when I make fun of you for rotating your gun to check its "chamber" before whipping your $30 midcap 10 feet to your side as if you're in an actual gunfight and need to reload like costa does.

Many people will shoot better with a conventional grip than thumb over bore, and many people find it quicker to acquire on close-range targets when their arm isn't a giant counterweight out in front of their body. It's a fad, but it's a fad based on valid principles, so if someone honestly prefers the handling and isn't just doing it to be one of the cool kids then I say let them be.

What I dont get is implementing things that literally have no benefit in terms of comfort or functionality in airsoft, for example the Chris Costa reload.
because they're fast, practical, and comfortable I dont get why a lot of people do things but i dont really question it because to each their own
because they're fast, practical, and comfortable I dont get why a lot of people do things but i dont really question it because to each their own
I'm talking about the Costa reload here, the one where you rotate your rifle 45 degrees CC to check the chamber for jams, then swing it around to fling your mag out to your non-dominant side. It has no place in airsoft and makes you look like a wannabe tool.
Works if you have a gas gun, at least. Kinda silly on an AEG- unless you regularly use real steel, which case you should not have totally different handling.
Theres also that the counter rotation lets you get more inertia backing the magazine for the flick. I'd hate to try reloading and not flick my mag hard enough to get it out. And when i ran plastic mids, flicking the mags across the field was pretty much the only way i reloaded.

At no point, does "no benefit in terms of comfort or functionality in airsoft" mean anything to me because it all comes down to how useful, practical, or comfortable it is for the operator of the equipment. Sometimes mags get caught up, therefore making flinging your mag practical. I don't know how you play airsoft, but I like to play fast, go hard, and have fun. I understand the whole "it's only a game" thing, but that's how I like to play. Fast and practical.
Just doesnt make sense to me to risk breaking your mags for a reload that isnt even that fast. But point taken I suppose.
fucking herf [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] Eh, I flip mags out of my M14 since it's fast, feels cool, and my mags are durable. If I break a mag, so what. I have 10, only use about 5 a game, and it's not like I can't afford $7 to replace it. If I break something, then that means that I was getting good use out of it.
You all reload like pussies. Put 10 pistols on you and when you run out of ammo throw that bitch like a tomahawk and pull out another.
most i've ever used is three [t]http://i.imgur.com/k2fFvPj.jpg[/t]
I've used 3 and two shotguns, and yes, its just as much fun as it sounds.
I've used 3 and two shotguns, and yes, its just as much fun as it sounds.
2 pistols and a Desert Eagle are fun in the sun while on the run.
I've dual wielded my Famas and my friends Combat Machine while carrying a Hi Capa Dragon 7" and a Hi Capa 5.1. How to effectively be a support gunner in semi auto only CQB.
I tucked my ak and joes ak under my shoulders and wrecked the other teams life once. Fun was had.
Also I've formed the shotgun centipede before, it was a stack of 4-5 shotgunners, all remaining in physical contact and covering all avenues of approach. We trundled our way to glory.

I like it a only little bit. Only because it doesn't look like the original. Its kind of like the juggernaut rogue how it looks just different enough for me to like it. But this is still pretty ugly and ris on the muzzle seriously.
that's literally just a center balanced systems stock, it's not like they custom fabricated something or did anything super impressive
