I get that wood's readily available, cheap, and easily workable, but considering how nice it looked before and how fuck-ugly that looks now, it's a real shame. With or without the paint, the hopper would ruin it anyway, like someone else said.

It's not exactly the prettiest 9mm AR, but there's nothing really disgusting or laughable about it.

Almost every other airsoft forum online has tons of mods who shit all over the tiniest bit of unrelated or even mildly related discussion - usually to the point that most threads are unproductive since users don't have the freedom to discuss anything outside normal bounds. All the other airsoft sites also have this culture of sucking the mods' dicks at every available opportunity and bowing down to them in every respect. I came to IFAP because the discussion here is [I]allowed[/I] to derail sometimes, and often it's for the better.

Also the mods are uninvolved in subforum politics, which makes everything nicer. Though I do sometimes wish we could vote people off the island. It usually takes care of itself though lol. Like StolenArc.

i, personally, enjoy the way this forum (as a whole) is moderated bans as warnings are great, all of the golds get to watch as the victim freaks out in RC whereas at ASR for example it's always [B]WARNING!!! BIG RED TEXT!!! THREAD LOCKED!!![/B]

the problem with most mods in general is that they get a feeling of being more important than regular posters and that's when the shit starts to gravitate towards the fan. mods that never wanted to be mods in the first place are the best candidates. everyone actively looking to be a moderator should be perma-denied. this is the best policy I've ever found for moderators. that and the completely anonymous moderators is another good one.

Having been around here for so long, I cannot stand to use any other forum. I'll join them and occasionally post on them, but nowhere else is quite like FP. It still amazes me to this day that a Garry's Mod forum somehow got a dedicated Airsoft subforum that is so good and is still here.

I agree that bans are definitely the best warnings. For some reason, people who don't fit in here or act like asshats usually slip through the cracks pretty quick, although I do wish we could have some say against those who are both shitty and persistent.
