He came over we were chillen smoking a few doobies, you know same old shit, and i walked out of the room to get drinks, and when I came in he had my guitar in his hand with an "oh fuck he's going to kick my ass" look on his face, apparently he slammed it off of my table and knocked a nice little chip out of the sexy fucking flamed maple. bastard.

Anyway Back on topic Is it bad that I've left my guitar out of tune for like a year? Like, will it affect it? Should I start tuning it monthly? I'd heard (when I was getting lessons) that leaving it seriously out of tune was bad, but that was one time when I put[B] every string[/B] into drop E.....

Downpicking is so much easier when you don't have to palm mute.

so the parts finally arrived i'm shielding right now, and i'll be soldering everything up soon. [media]http://filesmelt.com/dl/parts.jpg[/media] as you can see the killswitch (thanks Siminov) and neck/bridge switches are installed too. wish me luck, i really hope this will work.

I had my lesson today, and I've added some more little bits and pieces to the harmonic minor scale. I think it's an interesting scale (compared to the few I have had contact with) and I'm trying to make more and more complicated stuff out of it. I'm working on cementing my perfect mental map of the major and minor harmonic minor scales and where they connect on the fretboard, and I think once I've mastered it I'll be able to make some pretty cool stuff using G, B, and E. The way that the notes are situated in these strings are perfect.
