sick I've heard a lot of hype about blackouts, care to elaborate? I was thinking about buying a low - mid level guitar and installing blackouts for heavy kind of stuff
sick I've heard a lot of hype about blackouts, care to elaborate? I was thinking about buying a low - mid level guitar and installing blackouts for heavy kind of stuff
Well first off I like them alot more than emg's, they sound alot more organic. Very heavy and tight sounding. Not as sterile sounding as emg's, it's all opinion, but i'm sure you'd love them if you tried them.
I probably would. I've heard a lot of complaints about EMGs being sterile, or lifeless. Then again I've heard a lot of people say the opposite. Maybe I will buy a mid tier guitar and buy some blackouts for it. I mean everyone and his dog has EMGs these days, not like it's a fashion contest, but then again who wants to be like everyone else? And obviously you think they sound better, and I bet they do.

Cmon, if someone's willing to put them in a fucking Suhr, they're obviously good. What guitar are you thinking of getting and popping them into?
Mario Theme I forgot the intro and at the end I almost forgot what to play. Random Playing Just some random stuff I thought of while messing around, but it reminds me of something I've heard before but I can't remember what. Discuss, comment and burn me to the ground IF needed. Also I had to record with my acoustic bass because my electric gear is at my bands's drummer. And I had to record with my Ipod because we have nothing else I can easily record with.
I don't know, havent looked into it. Mid range ESP or Ibanez that I like, not sure yet. All I know is that I need a new guitar that is more heavy orientated, my SG can't handle anything past drop C Also, that video was informative. watching it atm [editline]28th January 2011[/editline]
Mario Theme I forgot the intro and at the end I almost forgot what to play. Hmmmmmm take it from a random on a internet forum, I'd go for the bike. I bet you got plenty of guitars, imagine the thrill you could have a on a street bike, not to mention how useful it could be. I'm speaking from a personal opinion though, I promised myself a motorbike when I was 5 years old, and I'll be dammed if that doesn't happen in the next ten years.
I would go for the bike if you already have a perfectly fine guitar.
Haha yeah I hear you bro, I actually only have the Carvin anymore, I had to sell all of my guitars a while ago :/ BUT! the carvin's a damn good guitar...i think it can hold me over. kawasaki ninja HERE I COME! Okay i'm going to stop posting for now I've posted way too many times, take care dudes.
Sell all your guitars, what the fuck? Well at least you have that then, that's the main thing Yeah I agree, I've been hovering around this thread for the last two hours I'm going to go pass out Goodnight guitar thread [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] Kawasaki Ninja, excellent choice btw
Anyone here tried the epiphone les paul special? I don't get why it's less than half the price of a normal epiphone LP? Is it worth it? Or should i buy a Les Paul 100 instead?
don't get why it's less than half the price of a normal epiphone LP?
Because it's poor quality.
Is it worth it?
No.
Or should i buy a Les Paul 100 instead?
Yes.

Woo thanks gonna look those up tomorrow.
Hey guys, you know guitar grades are worth UCAS points? Also liking the tone of Cube 40 XL's dat jazz
Alex Hutchins... Of all the videos I've watched, I've never heard him talk. I do prefer Lee Ritenour over him, but only because I've met him and chick corea.
Because it's poor quality. No. Yes.
ok
Fuck yeah acoustic bass :buddy:
It plays like a dream but the only problem is that it's not that loud if you dont play with a plectrum or dont increase your finger attack.
I've been thinking about upgrading from my current amp (Marshall mg :smithicide: ) and I was thinking about trying out Guitar Rig 4. I was wondering if any of you had any experiences with it and whether you would recommend it or not.
I have to say I played a marshall mg(i think) and I liked it
My MG50's distortion with EMGs isn't half bad, but it definitely is not worth the money they charge. Its cleans are HORRIBLE!
My MG50's distortion with EMGs isn't half bad, but it definitely is not worth the money they charge. Its cleans are HORRIBLE!
Yeah I played it at school and I only played through the distorted channel so I wouldn't know
My MG50's distortion with EMGs isn't half bad, but it definitely is not worth the money they charge. Its cleans are HORRIBLE!
Wrong. [editline]27th January 2011[/editline] Played a Fender FSR maple neck Strat through a Suhr Riot with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III. Dat fuckin' toan :frogc00l:
Now I have nothing against sloopy players...
You better not. I've played that song more times than I can count. Shitty fucking high school bands... Or the motorcycle. Really, they're both good purchases.
I probably would. I've heard a lot of complaints about EMGs being sterile, or lifeless. Then again I've heard a lot of people say the opposite.
Depends what kinda you get, brah. Though if anyone tells you regular 85/81/60 stuff sounds more organic with the volume rolled way down and the preamp at 18v they're full of shit. The Xes and such definitely sound a lot less like a synthesizer. Hence my eternal dillemma between buying a pair of 60-7xes or Blackout 7 direct replacements. Once again, I spend the money I was going to drop on pickups on something else because of crippling indecision.
Thinking about getting that Digitech Delay.
May sound stupid but I'm actually learning the notes on the fretboard and other scales other than "da box". Also some music theory. Thanks Franke for showing me those sites :smug: Now, how the hell can I remember modes? I remember the staff easily(FACE and Every Good Boy Did Fuck) but how in the name of God I'm supposed to remember dorian and dunno wat shit.
