Paying that much for an Epi is weird... Just buy a Gibson? So does anyone here like 7-string guitars? What about eight? I love my seven and thinking of buying an eight.
It's only £180.
It's only £180.
Why does the first review say Price paid: $ 1464 :tinfoil:
Guys what do you think of this Epiphone? http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/electric_guitars/epiphone/les_paul_black_beauty/index.html I am looking for a new guitar and a friend of mine would sell it to me cheap.
Hnnnnggggg, looks like the guitar used by Robert Fripp. Therefore it is amazing.

Make sure you know what you're getting into when you buy an 8, it's incredibly daunting to play at first, and it requires some modifications to your technique (much harder to play thumb over). It's definitely worth it though.
It's only £180.
It looks good, and if you can get it that cheap, go for it.
Anybody know a (safe) online place to buy steel fretwire? My heavy gauge strings are starting to wear through my nickel frets :saddowns: May use steel frets on my next guitar so I dont have to replace or level them, ever.
http://www.stewmac.com/ I use 'em for everything I make
I want to start building guitars, do you guys think it would be worth buying a cheap kit for better idea of building, or to save up and do everything myself with only guides and stuff? I have a lot of tools since my dad is a contractor/finishing carpenter. Of course I won't have the tools for ultra precise parts like the fretboard, so I'll probably order that premade.
Fcuk... my bass player left my band :frown: in my eyes he was the most fitting and best bass player of the whole world with his awesome slapping and everything... Oh well now we need an vocalist and an bassist :smith: He was also for 2 years in my band. Is there some good website to search musicians? (For germany please) Or even whole bands because if there are people willing to play what I create and do in my weird style then I may break up with my current band! This is madness!
I'll move to germany and play bass for you
All I can do is hope. Everything I find here in my city (Mannheim) is metalcore and deathmetal stuff.. I want something with the grooves man, bass player will be my penis and the drummer will be making my feet dance and I throw them smelly bean farts deep tuned shit into the mix while the singer is to busy to sing because hes banging the girls. Oh lol fuck this  I am currently playing the groovy drums in my band and if this keeps on I change to guitar in another band, but I don't think I ever find something fitting around here.

David Shankle blows so hard (and this comes from a guy who loves Yngwie). I don't even get what who he's trying to impress. He does the same shit here in this clip: 5:27 Sucks even harder compared to Ross The Boss and Karl Logan.
Prepare your anus
Wait a second... I think one of these days we need to have a "I'm stoned out of my gourd and HOLY SHIT I HAVE HANDS" photo contest. Well, regarding kit builds or doing something from premade parts (I don't have much in the way of woodworking tools or I'd have tried already), anyway. Something from Warmoth or Carvin. Especially considering Carvin has these build-a-strat-clone kits.
When I was a child, my hands played bass clarinet. Played it till I got into high school. I never counted time, I always just followed time off of the baritone sax. There was a strong unsureness to how on time I was. Now I've got that feeling once again. I can't explain. Except I can. So the metronome now is my life. Or at least it has been for the last week. Doing some strict metronome work. And I have become, perfectly timed.

what will happen if you jump in the water with your electric guitar?
what will happen if you jump in the water with your electric guitar?
Very bad things.

New Strings for Strat Yay
http://www.carvinguitars.com/catalog/guitars/index.php?model=gk1p Like that?
Yeah. Or, like I said, just from parts, considering Warmoth seems to have a bunch of styles to choose from- very well might want to make my own LP clone one day if it turns out these premade bodes and such are any good. Also, so glad to have the phosphor bronze strings off my Lotus. The little shit might be breaking apart on me (random bridge pin discharge = good times), but at least with plain EBs he sounds "tolerable."
