Alright so I'm learning how to play About a Girl by Nirvana and I have the first bit down. It starts off with an Em chord that goes down, down, up then to G with down, up, down, up. I can't find a good tab or video lesson anywhere. Anyone know how to play it that could help me?

Seems to be Em to G.
The next part seems to be C#5 to A5, to B5, then back to A5.
The part after feels like an E5 to an A5.
I could be wrong though because I'm having a hard time hearing the guitar in the youtube video.

Darn, I should read all of what you're saying because I thought you were trying to do it out by ear or something. Anyway, that's what I got by ear. Looking at the tab it says I'm pretty off, but that's alright because I couldn't really hear the guitar that well.
Hey guys, can you recommend me some exercises to strengthen my fingers in bends and freely bending?
I mean, on normal strings (gauge 12's or something) I can bend like crazy without any problem. But I switched to gauge 14's now, I have a great tone, but it's near impossible to bend freely.
Basically, I have a battle of the bands coming up with my band (2-3 months), we're playing only one cover song. That song is "Couldn't Stand the Weather." I want to be able to do the bends that I wrote for the 12 gauge strings but it's hard to do them on the 14's.

Somewhere around 5:58 he comes in and that's the only solo I'm not going to change.
the bend lick in marty's solo in megadeth - symphony of destruction
I just sneezed while playing guitar, being so into the song I sneezed in the same beat as I was playing :ohdear:

Pretty handy thing to have regardless of the gauge you use, but comes into it's own for building up strength for high gauges

I ought to stop browsing Ebay when I don't have money.

I could have bought a 1970's Vox 100 watt tube amp for £65. Unfortunately it was up somewhere near London, and I live in Newcastle. Damn.

Christ that thing looks fucking foul. And don't get me started on that bass...
This might sound really dumb, but is there a wrong way of stringing a guitar? I just put new strings on mine maybe a week ago and today when I was tuning my high e just snapped when I was tightening it. I use 10-52 D'addario heavy bottoms, and I generally have a nasty habit of snapping that e string, I'm thinking it has to do with the way I'm stringing it. I stretch out the strings and all that but maybe it's the way I'm looping it through the peg? I dunno, help would be great.
On the other end of the spectrum I've got a problem with my guitar's sustain not working the way it used to. I've got a Schecter Hellraiser Deluxe, and reviews I've read on it say it has an outstanding sustain, and when I first bought it I noticed that right away. Lately though, the sustain's been dying out after only a few seconds, and I've been using the exact same amp settings as I always do. I have a Vox VT30 (has a tube), for reference. I was suggested by a friend that it could be the pre-amp tube needing to be changed since I have had the amp for almost a year now, but I keep the wattage set fairly low usually so I have no idea what the issue could be.

Could be a matter of temperature. The temperature here decreased a lot and I'm having some problems with my SG staying in tune, so try to keep the room you keep your guitar in at a stable temperature.

Could be sharp edges on your bridge/saddle string holders which grind the strings down.

For the strings, there isn't really a wrong way as long as you aren't bending the strings sharply during restringing. Where does the string break? If it breaks right where it contacts the bridge there might be a sharp edge causing the string to wear quickly. And make sure you're not winding it up too quickly. I usually wind my E string up to the pitch of the G string, then give it a bit of a tug to stretch it, then wind it up to B, give it another tug and wait a bit, then tune it slowly up to E.
For your sustain problem, as it's a Schecter I'm going to assume its loaded with active EMGs, in which case replacing the 9V battery in the back of the guitar should fix your sustain issues.
So I'm playing a show tomorrow...Theres this solo I've been practising two days straight and I can do it almost flawlessly, but yeah I hope I can do it tomorrow as well
And there's one part which is really a bunch of improv...Sure hope that works out :v:

If only there were these objects one could array a set of instruments upon, so that one did not have to hold them all at once. Thus a multi-instrumentalist could let his instruments stand alone.
You could even call them that. "Stands."
But seriously sparkletops are the best LPs ever
the 99% pure unicorn horn cap makes them sound amaaaaazing
How come I've never heard of Sparkletops before!?

This is the first time I've ever wanted a Les Paul.

The only song appropriate for that guitar is this
