I love that picture and guitar so much its my wallpaper.
I am performing at my schools music night thing next week. It's only one song but maybe 30+ people and my first time actually playing in front of people.
That's awesome. are you excited?
Well you never know! How much would it cost?
well it's a Cort so not that much. I suppose if I sold or got rid of my Shine I could get that Cort but the Shine is awesome
That's awesome. are you excited?
Hell yeah. I'm a bit nervous though. We're playing creeping death and that has a kick as bass line and I get to use my new schecter so I'm happy.
Someone tell me how does that light thingy in Till's mouth work?

Always great to see another young, budding musician ready to take on the world.
any tips/tricks I should know? :buddy: I've never even played acoustic before so this is pretty confusing
Well, just get used to the feel of the strings, try figuring out what hand placement works best for you, then look up some chords so you know what's what!
Start out with scales in first position (up near the headstock) and then gradually work your way up, so you know where the notes on the neck are.

I think scales are a bit over the top at the beginning. I would recommend that you learn chords instead.
If you can play all Minor and Major chords, you can theoretically play 99 % of all music. If you don't want to bother with that just yet, look up Power Chords instead.
I would prioritize these chords (loosely):
1) D - G - C - Am - E - Em (Fundamental tier)
2) A - Dm - A7 - D7 - E7 - G7 (Spicing-it-up tier, the 7-chords are optional, but they are fun and easy!)
3) F - Fm - F# - C#m - C7 (Barre tier)
4) Csus4 - C/B - D/F# - Em7 - Dm7 (Secret tier)
5) By now any remaining chords should be a breeze.
Google your favourite songs + chords! Play along! Also since you have an electric guitar, you are probably eager to start riffing away ROCK N ROLL STYLE. You can start doing this while you learn the chords. Google your favourite songs + tabs! Some good songs to check out:

Judas Priest - Breaking The Law

Anything by Black Sabbath

The theme from the X-Men cartoon
DO NOT under ANY circumstances learn these (nobody will like you):

Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water

Guns'n'R - Sweet Child of Mine

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
If you want more help, just say the word. Also maybe you could tell us what you aim for. Like if you want to play metal or rock or funk or learn any specific songs. We're always here to help.

You should look into the L&M Guitar tutorials.
You can find torrents easily.
Really good teaching videos, each is about an hour long, they're very thorough with it. I wish I had that when I learned guitar. It'd make it so much easier.

He had a cheek pierced just for the Ich tu dir Weh music video, because he's insane and thought it would be fun to have a hole there. So there's literally just a bulb in his mouth fed through a wire in his head.

Not in Wisconsin but my favourite luthier runs a shop in Missouri

Maybe a bit "classy" looking for a lot of people's tastes but... just look at them dammit
Okay fine I will.
Also, a friend of mine in...the boonies, for lack of a better term, has an acoustic he wants to try, but apparently it's missing multiple strings. I don't have any phosphor bronzes on me (lazy asshole who just puts on spare slinky 10s/11s I'm trying to get rid of), but I've got a shitload of regular steel strings I could give him.
Would it be criminally negligent to give him one of these billion pairs of 10s that I'm trying to lose, or should I just give him an 11? Or just say fuck it and make him buy some 12s himself the next time he hits a city?
I've never tried putting electric strings on an acoustic, but I have tried vice versa and it didn't come even remotely close to correct pitch.
I dunno how it will go but it'll probably sound like shit
I need to own at least one of his guitars in the next ten years.

Like I said I've been doing it, it doesn't sound perfect tonally but I didn't notice any real neck oddities going from 12s to 10s.
Also ewwwwwwwwwwwwww no it's like looking at ESP japan's artist stuff

Holy shit
thats one masterly crafted body, too badit only has 1 pickup, and just a single volume (or perhaps tone) knob.
it looks like expensive furniture.
also putting electric string on a acoustic guitar can screw it up hard, it's just a completely different tension

I should probably get it checked out, shouldn't I?

The interviewer is a stupid sexist knob. I know plenty of female bassists.
have you tried adjusting the bridge?
back ordered strings finally came in the mail today (it was a such a mess)

I wonder how an ESP/LTD Deluxe Horizon compares to a ESP Standard Horizon. I wish my music stores had more ESP standards D:
