How would I get my electric guitar to sound like because right now, even with the amp plugged in, it sounds like an acoustic :tinfoil:
Crank that Gain/Overdrive Maybe lower the Mid slightly, and add a Delay effect.
Well at the pub now (gotta love fp for iphone) and im just gonna play one song (i know none of these songs). I just have to put my music theory knowlege to the test
good luck man!
how would it sound if i hooked my laptop up to my new bass amp and played music? or is that a bad idea..
how would it sound if i hooked my laptop up to my new bass amp and played music? or is that a bad idea..
It would sound bassy.
in a good way?
In a ''I don't know'' way because not all bass amps are the same. It sounds quite bad on mine to be honest and it is a superb bass amp.
how would it sound if i hooked my laptop up to my new bass amp and played music? or is that a bad idea..
If it has a headphone out and you're sending it to the mic in, probably fine. If it doesn't and it's just a generic line out, it'll be horrible.
I'm trying to start a band with a few of my friends but they are extremely fucking lazy about it. I really wanna start playing gigs again. My singing voice is starting to go a bit flaky with the lack of practice since I'm focusing on guitar to much as well. Would 19 years old be too late to start singing lessons? I'm sick of my throat killing me after 8 songs.
its never too late :)
a really cheap £10 one with "KUSTOM" on the handle and will do. :buddy:
My friend had a similar one He tried convincing me that it was custom built because it had KUSTOM written on it Also not being a guitarist myself at this time, I asked him why the guitar he'd bought from cash converters (pawn shop practically) had a "treble" and "rhythm" knob/pickup selector He's so full of shit he said to me "Well one plays a treble sound and one plays a rhythm sound", unaware that it swapped between the bridge and neck pickups He was a self proclaimed "guitar god" at this point, with his mastery of open chords and guitar pro tabs. He also told me that his LEGEND that he'd bought for like, $30 was a gibson, and he'd scribbled out the legend brand thing on the headstock with a permanent marker. Fuck he was so full of shit
What pickup position do most people like most? I like bridge. Can't really imagine using the other positions.
depends on what tone I want really kind of what different pickups in different positions was invented for
I like neck best More bite, more gain in my opinion
the gig went a lot better than expected
I like neck best More bite, more gain in my opinion
more bite lol wat
Bite, tone, ect I can't explain it, it just seems better to me
I associate bite with trebley chunky sounds like that of a bridge pickup
I see then I dunno it seems I just get a harsher tone for high gain kind of stuff with my neck pickup
Neck, because that pickup has tone controls. Though middle+bridge sounds awesome. Quack FTW!
the Rumble 75 is an incredible amp.
I still can't believe that they ship it with the affinity Squiers.
Can someone give me some links on some decent not too expensive bass amps with watts ranging from 30 to 60, And it has to be a combo. Thanks in advance
http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hb40b.htm
I use Bridge + neck for solos/lead/bluesy/clean tones, and I use to Bridge for everything else really. I found that the B + N position sounds almost identical to N on my setup.
bridge + middle is best then again superstrat is best
i have seperate volume controls on my neck and bridge so i can adjust it how i like it, but i usually only use one at a time. the neck pickup generally has some more gain and attack because it's more to the middle of the string, use it for solos and stuff. bridge pickup is slighty more mellow being slightly more to the end of the sinus in the string. use it for more bluesy stuff.
http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hb40b.htm
I wouldn't go for that one. I had the 20W version and it's a very sub-par amp. If you're gonna go for a Harley Benton amp, make it part of the HBW series as they're much better sounding. http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_hbw_35.htm I have the 80W version of that and it's an impressive amp
Bridge humbucker: hard rock/metal thrash leads Neck humbucker: mellower metal and rock leads Neck single coil: Hendrix-esque style rock different sounds for metal If I had to say a favourite, nothing beats the neck position single coil in a strat for me. That said, because I mostly play metal and hard rock, I usually just use the bridge which are humbuckers in all my guitars. Right, I walked in to the shop today with my mind set on a Fender Blues Junior , for £450. However, having left the shop about an hour later, I had put a £20 deposit down on a £690 Fender Blues Deluxe. Christ, the Blues Deluxe kicks major arse.
You have mellow and bite/attack mixed up
elaborate? i just typed what i generally experience on my guitar.
What brands should I be looking at if I want a modeling bass amp for around £100. It's only going to be a practice amp so it doesn't need that much power.
