Now that you mention it, the Explorer body looks suspiciously similar to a halberd head...
What EQ pedal would you guys recommend

From what I've heard, the five-string Epi Thunder outclasses the four-string in every way, while not being much more expensive.

Do they make six string Thunderbirds

That'd be pretty sweet
I don't know think the Rage is terribly hot, and without knowing what the effects pedal is I can't comment, but if the ESP is like new, you're getting a $400 guitar at less than and with some extra crap. You can see on Google that some $400 LTD models go for about $300 used. So if the other crap ends up being worth $50, it's at least fair market value.
I knew I should have put it. It's a KORG AXG5.
It is GLORIOUS!
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Photo_Feb_17_3_46_38_PM1.jpg[/img_thumb]
$200 for it. It's used, has a few scratches but plays fucking awesome.
I knew I should have put it. It's a KORG AXG5.
Never heard of it and can't find it online.
I guess it's an okay deal? I mean, at least the guitar is worth that if it's in good shape and you probably wouldn't get much in the way of a pedal and amp for $50 anyway. If that's just your budget maybe look at what you can find online and compare what you could get for that.
Like, you can find decent Schecters, Ibbys and other LTDs around that price range on clearance or used online, same for amps. You could get an Omen or ART100 and a Roland Cube for about that. And I feel kinda stupid now but if list for that guitar was $400, $300's still a common sale price in stores new (most stuff at retailers is marked down but in actuality the "list" price is inflated.)
Aughghg :argh:
I lost the only thick pick I have and the only ones here are flimsy thin ones
I hate flimsy picks
Gotta get more thick ones.

I've seen an 8-string Thunderbird but that was a custom job.
And with 8-string I mean single-course.

One half was fretless and one half was fretted but it was one neck instead of two.

That.
Sounds really cool, I'd actually use one of those, but I'd prefer two necks for the sake of simplicity.
http://www.thomann.de/gb/schecter_damien_7.htm - Basswood body
or
http://www.thomann.de/gb/schecter_damien_elite_7_cr.htm - Mahogany body
(it's a question of EMG pickups aswell, which one's best?)
I like Ash bodies myself more but from those two I would go with the elite.
I second that, go with the Elite.

Considering that a 4 string Thunderbird doesn't balance for shit a 6 string may as well not have a strap considering how often it'll end up on the floor

I've heard the balance problems can be nullified by moving the strap thingy to somewhere else.
I couldn't balance a Firebird when I sat with it, considering a Thunderbird has another 6 inches on a Firebird I can't see how, but I'll take your word for it

Fucking awesome song!
Taste the bile down in my throat
Be the flea I'll be your goat
Raining down from stars above
Endless streams of plastic love
Feel the core that's melting down
See the fools are wearing crowns
Twist the blade you sank in me
Sleep again with the enemy
You mess me up and shoot me down
But I'll go fighting
The dirty heads roll in the ground
But keep on biting
The cloud is closing in my shade
The one that follows you just won't go away
Fear is in your eyes to stay
Who's to blame in the end of the day
Time to rise up in the sky
Time to bridge those walls too high
Time to bring down the evil king
Time to feel this hovering
You mess me up and shoot me down
But I'll go fighting
The dirty heads roll in the ground
But keep on biting
Thunderbirds are fine when sitting down, I don't see where you found the problem.
Just got my first Fender.
Fender Tornado Deluxe series, the rare blonde finish with red turtuoise pickguard.
I can only say one thing about the sound, excellent.
What did i trade?
Some old crap i had laying around and 10 bux
My Jazz IIIs finally came in.
I can see the appeal, but I kinda like my ultex sharps more. Probably just my bigass hands. The tips on the IIIs are nicer, I just feel like I barely have control of it.
I use these because they're quite nice.

But I'm not a fan of plectrums to be honest because I can play faster with my fingers and my hand-eye coördination is better when I use my fingers.
I can't play with picks that aren't cactus, I always sweat my hands when I play so I drop them

Elite. The 81/85 combo is the most definitive and well-known EMG combo. Though personally I think the X-series 81 and 85 sound even better.
