All used; Squier by Fender Mini, Torino Red (I got it when I was 11, never learned, barely played it) Behringer V-Tone GM108 15W Modeling Guitar Combo Amp And just a small cable and a strap for it. They're in good condition as far as I can tell. It's all going towards a new bass amp or guitar.
You can get more than $40 for that. Hell, you could double that and still be way undercutting most cheap starter packs.
i broke the second high string on my guitar, which leaves me with 5 strings. while i go ahead and tune it real low, plug it into a subwoofer and try out being a bassist for a few fun hours, anyone wanna recommend me some brands of strings that would be good?
D'Addarios are my favourites, but it's really just personal preference. Try them all until you find the brand you like most.
I don't know, Ernie balls slinkys 10-46 are the ones i use most of the time.
My personal preference is DR .010's, the set they have the ends in 0.52 Works great for D-E standard tunings. Can kinda play C, but it gets messy.
if im looking to play rock or metal, what gauge should i get? if anyone has a specific set in mind that would be great
what gauge you should get really depends on 2 things 1. what tuning you use 2. how much tension you like to play with [editline]21st February 2011[/editline] the bigger the gauge the more tension
I find 10s are a well rounded set. 9s are too bendy and sound a little thin, 11s are fairly tough to bend until you build up some toughness in your fingertips. 10s sound nice and you can go to D standard on them with a decent tension, but they're perfect in Eb and E standard imo. If you wanna play metal, you might wanna go for a set of 10s with heavy bottoms, to have even more tension in your low strings.

I've never used Dunlop strings, but the gauges should suit you.
I find 15-80 quite nice! love me some la bellas!
Thinking about picking up a bass for less than $200 CAD. I would just use my Marshall 250DFX for it at low volumes as I don't really care about it's well being if something were to happen to it. It would be for jazz/metal/rock, 5/4 string is cool, anyone have recommendations on a bass then? I was thinking about jsut getting one of those Rogue 4/5 string $119 basses, anyone have experience with them?

Don't know what you people will think about this music, but I strongly suggest you take a listen. The song is so full of energy! Skip to 0:45 for the actual song. Some of you might have heard this song which is from the same band. What do you think?
7321? What pups have you put in there?
Yep. DiMarzio Blaze in the bridge and just stock in the neck atm. Bareknuckle Aftermath pickups would be a dream come true.

The second was a bit better, but they were still kind of plain to me.
Has anyone here ever owned an Ibanez Iceman? Particularly the IC300 model?

Now that I have seen that I will never pick up a guitar again. But on a serious note, how do you keep that note for that long?
