I agree, if only we all had cams and mics then we could jam together.
Eh, I'll chill out. I think I'm in a bad mood or something because I'm getting mad at everything.
laughing at you not with you
also every time I see a post that says something like "hey get in tinychat" I always think "ok cool" then I read "posted 3 hours ago"

I expanded on the thing I recorded before by implementing it in a friends song for his now defunct death metal band, I also did some little bits here and there, C & C would be appreciated.

Fair enough, all the more power to you.
Also I had a feeling that seemed REALLY off...I mean dude... brand new baritone PRS - an actual PRS, not an SE. Just wow lol
Lucky bastard
Birthday is March 13th and my budget is around $300, everyone else should be giving me cash. That can either help me buy my half stack or I can buy an ounce of weed and become a drug dealer :smugdog:
Really though, I need some good guiar pedals or necessities, recommendations?

Fuck effect pedals get a Peavey 6505+ Combo.
THEN save for the most important effects.

I do not want a combo amp, because I'll be getting another amp so its moot
I do not want a combo amp, because I'll be getting another amp so its moot
What other amp is this that it's better than a freaking 6505+?!
Im talking about a stack. I'm not interested in any more combo amps and have never encountered a 6505 in Perth
Im talking about a stack. I'm not interested in any more combo amps and have never encountered a 6505 in Perth
I only suggested the combo because it is MUCH cheaper than the half stack.
Combo goes for $5-600 US. Half-stack goes for about $1,900 US.
You can get 6505+ heads wherever (is that Perth like ambush city or Perth like Aussieland or Perth like some other Perth) but okay cool you've got or don't want head recommendations.
Recommending pedals and such really depends on what you've got already and what you plan on doing with it.

I can think of a few I'd rather have if the amplifier fairy visited.

Well yeah so can I but at $600 US for a 6505+ combo that's a really freaking good deal.
If the amplifier fairy visited me I'd be the proud owner of a Mesa Triple Rectifier and a Mesa 4x12 cabinet.
I have no pedals at the moment. I'd like a good distortion pedal for tonal boosting and an iconic effects pedal, so I an adjust my music style before I use it. Or even two boosting pedals if they mix well
Id like to use em in the future

Don't forget cup holders!

Sure yeah I guess. If I ever bought a proper physical amp I'd probably go for it, but I don't know that they're for everyone.
Semi-related, ooh, Revalver Mk.III demo. Should be fun, see if Peavey can model their own shit better than IK did. Kinda wish Guitar Rig 4 had a 5150/6505 model though.
Don't forget cup holders!
Almost forgot that!
I'm pretty excited, and nervous, for the finished product. Hopefully all goes well. If it does, I'll probably be the first in this section to own, and play, a Eastern Hard-rock maple guitar. Hope it sounds goo!
If something catastrophically goes down somehow, or we made an irreparable mistake, I do have another maple body cut out.
I love simple songs to play, the ones that a genuinely fun to play. In this case I mean
Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family - David Bowie

It's not too difficult and can easily be played repeatedly forever because it sounds so damn awesome

I'm not angry mate, it's just a bit rude when you come in and make snarky comments.
Otherwise everything's cool dude
We're all people of different calibers here, united to discuss the most glorious object to ever make sound on this Planet.
Aww yeah I got a new bass, I will post pictures tomorrow.
K guys i'm running out of options here.
I have my guitar back again, and it's fully fixed. Still, i get buzz and noise and all that crap. What the flying fuck can i do about it? I feel like i've tried everything. I had no buzz whatsoever when i tested the guitar at the store, so it definitely got fixed (played with extremely high gain).
At home, it's all variable. The first time i plugged in and started playing, no buzz. The second time, buzz. The third time (just now), no buzz. :what:
Need some help here :smith:
try with different jacks, and check your amps grounding.
might be the input on the amp.

Is there any particular way to do that? I've switched wall outlets already on both my amp and my effects pedal, didn't change a thing..
[editline]23rd February 2011[/editline]
Switched to both grounded and ungrounded outlets
do you have any other jacks? since it worked in the shop i'd recon it's either your jack, or something with your amplifier.

screwing the amp open and checking the leads would be ideal, but i can see why not everyone would do that.
