I'll pay £100 for it.
HAH. In your wet dreams.
I am still considering other things to do with it. I might just block the Floyd Rose me thinks.
Speaking of floy'ed roses, is it stupid to buy a Tremelno for $70 when the brass stopper is like $5? I just can't imagine the little thing holds it that securely.
Come to think of it though, what I really want is a replacement bridge like that Ibanez one that's kinda shallow and floyd-ish but fixed in place. Except you can't buy just those bridges.
I'm not sure because I've never used one, but isn't the point of the tremelno that you can use dives only/regular tremolo action/hardtail without having to change a lot of stuff around?
Would appreciate feedback:

It has a really nice feel to it, keep with the simplicity, but maybe make it a bit more varied
Been working on feeling. made a simple chord progression and tried to solo over it. http://pollution434.kcomputerzone.ca/media/Guitar/Tests/test_solo_edit.mp3 The recording quality isn't the best, so bear with me.

It has that as an added feature, but the primary point is that it "locks" the trem flat so you can use it or not at will. Then, yeah, you either unlock it or partially unlock it so that it can only divebomb.
I wish there was more basses with tremelnos, dive bombing a bass would sound awesome.

Work on your bends, and picking technique.
I can hear the feeling though.

Les Claypool uses one on John the Fisherman.

Also guys, I'm starting to dislike the whole Floyd Rose thing, it's just not my style.
I'm going for a classy, thick electric that plays nice and is around $300-450.
I'm currently looking at the Epiphone Les Paul Standard plain top Ebony.
Would this be a good versatile choice (I play everything from Bach to Buckethead)?
Cool, a guitar thread.
Ok, so how come every guitar I pick up that's not mine has really high action?

Because you probably haven an Ibanez.
I'm really bored with my music at the moment. Can anyone suggest some good bass lines to learn?

Nah. That's a little too low for me. But whenever I play someone elses guitar the action is crazy high.

Anything from scott pilgrim. Songs played by Michael Cera if you're a beginner, songs by anyone else in the movie if you're more skilled.

Fuck springs, you'd need hydraulics :v:

with a tremelo. Hydraulics indeed
If you're only trying to do dive bombs, just put the bridge on a pivot and then attatch it to a boat winch.

When you dive bomb, release it, then ratchet it back up to get back in tune.

I lost my glass slide. I really like playing with a slide.

How would you go about properly cleaning the neck of a guitar? My bass is dirty as hell and has all kinds of grime on the neck and I'd like to clean it off.

Lemon oil is usually the recommended way to go.
And of course a dustless cloth.
About the whole sheet music vs. tabs discussion.
You're the best when you figure it out by ear, check if it's right via tabs/sheet music, find out when you're completely right.
merely from a practical standpoint tabs are a better form of writing shit down
sheet music just tells you what note to play
tabs tell you where to play that note
Goddamn it absinthe if that avatar gets any more fucked up i will be scarred for life
