It's the low e string, one octave up.
I know that, hurr. I was wondering why he quoted that and said it, I don't see the point.
The fat string is E. The one under it is A. It keeps going: D, G, B, and e.
Each fret goes up one "key"(half-step), for instance, if you want to play an A on the E string, you would go up 5 frets because it would be 5 "keys" away on a keyboard. This is also counting the black keys.
so a C would be the B string 1st fret (middle C)
That is why.
On second thought I read this wrong the first few times.
I don't understand explaining one string at a time but whatever, it looked like he was explaining the different strings and then implying the 5th fret of the A-string is an E, which is incredibly false.
Okay so I was at a music shop today and they had a Boss NS-2 for only 60 bucks! This solves my problem with the Rocktron Silver Dragon and how if I cranked it it would go HNNGNGMNGMGNMGGNMGGNG whenever I wasn't playing something.
I love my POD!
I dropped it on it's head like a small child one too many times and now the input jack is b0rked.
Well I can obviously prevent that, I thought you fried the electronics somehow..

[editline]27th February 2011[/editline]
There's even an Axe bottle on it!!!!
POD X3 - $699
Axe FX Ultra - $2295
POD X3 - $699
Axe FX Ultra - $2295
Exactly, if I had the money I would. But the Line 6 does everything I need it to do and for the price it is an awesome deal.

Axe FX equals chicks

Not playing guitar for "chicks".
Update! Haven't posted here in a while, but as you may remember I was really frustrated since I had just started guitar.
Just got some new heavy picks and a chromatic tuner today, and I'm learning Rooster now.
Before I could hardly switch chords and now I'm pulling off Barres.
My next goal is to learn Pinch Harmonics because they are fucking awesome.
hahahaha
Not really directly guitar related but I just nabbed a pair of Mackie MR8s. 100 watt low end 50 high, moves enough air to make everything sound sexy. Finally can practice on my amp sims with some POWER instead of just using my piddly microcube.
Finally got a doubled sided guitar stand, now I don't have to learn my gear against beds

I one upped you with my tri stand. I used to have a guitar hero controller on it.

I one up your floor stands with that, there are 2 more to the left too.
You rich bastard :colbert:
They're relatively inexpensive
I wanted wall mounts, but my family didn't want me nailing holes in the walls

Well, the wall mounts are on a slot-wall in my studio room, that's why it's cool.

I got some wall mounts too, forget what kind they are, but they manage to hold up my heavy-as-fuck bass.
well i have a regular wall
Volume is self explanatory, the middle knob is for midrange boost/cut, the right tone knob is for bass boost/cut, i could be wrong, but that's what i think it is.
EDIT: My guitar still isn't fixed. It's exactly the same after grounding it. I've yet again tried it on several amps and wall outlets, to no avail. There is no difference whatsoever. The only way to avoid noise at this point is to hold on to the guitar-end of the jack... Any ideas on what i could try next?
have you tried using a different cable? Sometimes cables can screw up.
well i have a regular wall
:respek:
I have a regular room, by guitar sits on my bed.
When I learned my against the bed my fucking cats knocked my guitars over
As in, its in the other half of my double bed, lying down :3
bed = storage facility
Carvin sold.
Esp (not ltd...since I keep getting asked that...), here I come.
