Why does it have to be Boss, there are much better pedals out there for the money in most cases, particularly for the distortions [editline]28th February 2011[/editline] Also Page King Discuss:
Someone tell me how to change strings correctly for fucks sake
Someone tell me how to change strings correctly for fucks sake
Tune it down so you can pretty much just take the string out of the tuning peg. Slide it off the guitar and put another string in, make sure its in the bridge and put it through the hole and tune it up like brand new. I can't explain it properly I'm sure someone else can.
Basses can last a lot longer with strings. Hell I saw a 1964 P Bass with it's original strings
Guitar string can last long too in the right hands, I once saw a 1954 Gibson Les Paul with it's original strings.

My birthday is 14 march and I hope to get some money for some sexy 5 string bass :buddy: Also started writing music again on each saturday :3: Pretty low tuned cool song is nearly fully written! This time my guitar will have a big amount of low end which will make it meaty as flesh!

My older brother told me he had a friend who had bought gold plated strings. Yeah, gold. They were really expensive and the plating worn off really quickly (after just a few hours), but man "the strings were like heaven. Unlike anything I've ever heard before". Would be cool to try them.
Get a schecter :buddy:
I was thinking about the schecter omen 5 but dude the yamaha rbx series for around 350€ are way better suited for my taste, neutral rather cold tone (need that for my distortion) will using it through my line 6 spider III only for recording through the line in at my pc. 10 Band EQ avaible so I do not really worry about tone issues, gonna get an killer tone.
Basses can last a lot longer with strings. Hell I saw a 1964 P Bass with it's original strings
ew. the school's basses for the majority have strings so old they're brown, I don't even want to think about strings from the 60s
Schecter Stiletto's are also quite nice, the bassist from The Safety Fire also used one when they were in Tilburg if I am not mistaken and it has a killer tone.
You can boil bass strings to clean them. True story. If you didn't notice a difference when you changed your strings you either did something WRONG. Or didn't reset the guitar. If you don't change strings for such a long time you have to set the intonation, check the neck, clean all that gunk off of the neck etc.
what, so coil them bitches and chuck them in a pan of boiling water?
I'm trying to imitate this guitar tone. Is reverb recommended? (skip the bass intro)
what, so coil them bitches and chuck them in a pan of boiling water?
Process is a bit different http://www.tunemybass.com/strings/how_to_clean_bass_strings.html
I'm trying to imitate this guitar tone. Is reverb recommended? (skip the bass intro)
Yes. I think I even hear some chorus in there to be honest.
I don't see that resemblance but I think they're just as generic.
Generic or not they have some gems. For me it's their best work by far, and it's really a pretty good song. Jump to 4:30 to hear the solos, the first made by the vocalist and the second by the lead guitarist.
Yes. I think I even hear some chorus in there to be honest.
Makes sense, I'm getting the impression that he tried to thicken the sound because it sounds like both speakers are playing the one guitar recording, and maybe one has a slightly altered pitch so it's still intune but distinguishable from eachother. Cheers
So whats a good electric guitar for metal, mostly thrash metal for 400 euros? Ibanez looks good, but i would love a v guitar, if it doesnt mean sacrificing quality over looks.

Anyone who knows where I can find a decent (free) tab writer?
TuxGuitar is pretty decent.
guys, why the fuck does my amp sound so bad when i blast it directly in my face? normally i have the amp horizontally on the ground, so the sound flows underneath me. It sounds so fucked up when i do this :saddowns:
Awww yeaaaah got a new bass amp, I turned it to 3 and it moved already more air than my current quite loud amp at 7 :smug: I'll snap some pictures of it tomorrow.

If you put PC speakers on the ceiling they sound fucked up too.

After 3 months, they still sound new.
