I myself don't like the sound of new strings, I prefer the sound of ''tamed'' strings.

I prefer these over Elixir's. After 3 months, they still sound new.
I think one of my buddies has those, it's a black coating right?
(i've never used them)

No, they just look like strings.
so far i've not found any strings i like better than the regular 'ol ernie ball .010's
i usually don't roll with all those flatwound coated titanium gimmicks.
Flatwound is not a gimmick
Why do all these skinny rockers abuse the Gold's Gym shirts?
Will it be different in a hall, with gigs? and PA? :ohdear:
Of course. There's a reason toys like convolution reverb are so popular with engineers and studios these days- it's because even minor changes in speaker/listener position, to say nothing of the massive structural difference between your room and an amphitheater, have huge impacts on your sound.
That said, depending on what you're playing, people may or may not really give two shits how muddy/verby/whatever you do or don't sound in your average gig. It'd all be very important if you were recording a live performance (mics everywhere!), but normally stage presence trumps actual sound quality.

That eases my mind... A lot. I was baffled because of the difference, i'll put the amp back into its previous position.

Might be purchasing this in the next few days.

What do you guys think of Kerly strings? They look pretty good and I'm thinking of trying their heavy 7 string set because it has the same gauges as the strings on it right now.
i had had the same strings on my guitar for over a year. Then i decided to change them all. Didn't notice any difference in tone or playability.
lol

That happened to my acoustic as well. No difference.

Here's a lil' something I threw together in two takes. It's all improvised. Any tips?
Tune it down so you can pretty much just take the string out of the tuning peg. Slide it off the guitar and put another string in, make sure its in the bridge and put it through the hole and tune it up like brand new. I can't explain it properly I'm sure someone else can.
The tying/looping at the machine head is problem, everything else is obvious

For an improvised bit, it's pretty cool, although it gets a bit dull about halfway in.
Although I know very little about theory, it seems to me that you are only playing in one or two boxes (I might be wrong). You should make it more dynamic, but the tone is pretty sex. :3:

That looks really nice, hadn't seen an Agile guitar before that.
Looks great in sunburst too, and P90s are always good.

Here is a picture of my new amp.
All I know about it is that it's 250W and that it is motherfucking loud.

Tried some POV action.
Didn't notice how dark the video was. Forgot to put up some additional lightning.
Outcome is pretty cool anyways.

I'm looking to get a guitar (I already play bass and I just want to get one to get rid of the dumb 'failed guitarist' statements and I want to be able to play guitar) for that sort of price, and it won't be my main instrument, would this be good for me? or should I invest in a more expensive guitar?
That F-10 would be pretty good as first guitar, but i recommend you try some guitars out first, it's more about the feel than the sound, imo.
...Coming from a gear whore :v:

Thanks. Yeah, I used a melodic minor and a bit of the blues box.

I still don't understand how you could not hear a difference in brightness. o.o
oh well, everyone's different I guess.
cool little recording, how long have you been playing?

3 1/2 years if you include my time playing acoustic. Improv blues/jazz style isn't my strong suit, I usually play metal :v:
I am just waiting on my micorphone so I can finally record some covers. I used to have a bunch of Megadeth covers on my YouTube, but they got blocked for some people.

shit playing, no solos or anything because i suck. i like rhythm more, but i think i found a good metal distortion to use on my ME-25. sounds better through my amp though.

Also, my custom V is primed :buddy:
Went through fixing my friend's ibby.
It's a gio but still, it is quite a nice little starter guitar.
Though I need to do some more work to it, It is missing a bridge screw, it needs the bridge tuned, and I have to remove the tone pot since it is busted.
Band is in the process of pumping out a new song
It has a slap bass bridge in it, fuck yeah

I just found my sisters old Fender Squire (and it's the 20th anniversery edition too!)
I really want to fix this baby up, and I was wondering, Is it a good guitar?
(and yeah, that couch has flamingos on it :c00lbert:)
