Trust me when I say I would only ever buy two deans, this, and the rusty cooley sig. everything else is ugly and I hear bad things about quality.
Dave Mustaine's sigs are supposed to be very good.
Chugging basslines are boring.

There are other places to play a B on a 4 string bass. I've recorded several tracks with my 7 string guitar and 4 string bass, with both in standard tuning. Just open your mind and don't constrain yourself to chugging the open lowest string available!
Chugging basslines aren't always boring. It all depends on the context.
Dave Mustaine's sigs are supposed to be very good.
I can attest to this.

My double toast was ninja'd. The power of science.
They're unimaginative as fuck though, and mostly sound pretty crap.
Well, sometimes the bassline has to be less spectacular to make room for awesome melodies on top.
Dave Mustaine's sigs are supposed to be very good.
Well I played one of the imports of his signatures and I really didn't like it. Can't remember which one, but it just did not feel right to me at all. Clunky, poor action, the fretboard felt awkward...I really didn't care for it at all. I'm sure his American-made models are great, but the imports I would avoid like the plague.

Angel of Deth is supposed to be kickin' rad too. [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] Too bad it has a trem.
I can attest to this.
Me too. Played the VMNT and it was actually incredible. The neck just felt perfect for my hands, but it might vary from person to person as to what neck they prefer.
Just picked up this sweet 6 string. [img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/rab7ro.jpg[/img_thumb] Dean Custom 350 with Floyd rose. The arm that came with the floyd rose sucks and wiggles at the joint :colbert: But, all I had before was a decent Schechter 7 string and a bunch of shitty 6's There was alot i wanted to learn on a 6 but didn't want to return my 7 all the time. (My Schechter Omen 7 if you care to see it) It's just that, not alot of people write tabs in Drop A for a 7 string. So I picked up a 6 for tuning and practicing reasons
To fix the floyd rose there's a nut in the back of the guitar's hollow part, Where you adjust the floyd rose.
Dave Mustaine's sigs are supposed to be very good.
yeah well dave mustaine is supposedly a very good guitarist too
yeah well dave mustaine is supposedly a very good guitarist too
I guess he's "okay"
Hey guys, I need your help diagnosing a problem with my amp. At moderately high volume (6 input volume;1 boost/gain) it will give me a buzzing sound when playing an A (12th fret on a string). It sounds like the speaker in my amp... which can't be good.

I've decided I want to stop sucking completely at guitar, so I'm practicing for a couple hours a day now. I used to practice for maybe 20 or 30 minutes a day, but it just wasn't cutting it. I've been playing scales, arpeggios, and small little riffs from different songs. Can anyone recommend any other exercises for practicing?

http://www.amazon.com/John-Petrucci-Rock-Discipline/dp/B00006L57W It covers pretty much everything and will balance you out in pretty much all areas. You should also write out your goals so you can know when you're better. Also remember that you want good practice. Half an hour of good practice will easily beat out five hours of bad practice.

[editline]4th March 2011[/editline] It only happens when I play that note, I can video/record it tomorrow in the morning to see if I can get the sound. [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] I took a few minutes to google, it's a Mark III.

Does it not buzz with another amp? My first guess would be that it is the guitar.
Does it not buzz with another amp? My first guess would be that it is the guitar.
Especially if it is one specific note.
Especially if it is one specific note.
Yeah, that's very true. I kinda figured that playing a second octave on the string itself usually gives me way more bass and sometimes causes some rattling in the speakers that I didn't want, but a Mesa should NOT be doing that. For example on most of the amps I've played on playing an E on the low E, 12th fret gives you this wicked buzz out of the amp because the thicker string's vibration kinda trips it up for the higher sound you're aiming for with that note. But again...A Mesa should NOT be doing that.
To fix the floyd rose there's a nut in the back of the guitar's hollow part, Where you adjust the floyd rose.
....and? then what do i do?
I am very impressed Line 6. It even has the ringing from the bigsby down.
Same. I think I actually want one of those really bad, even if the four-knobbed weirdo version looks a little...off.
