Well.. Im too busy to keep playing, I've been playing for about 4 years now and I'm getting ready to sell some of my gear. I have 1 - ESP LTD Viper-400 w/ EMG 81/85's 2- Crate GFX1200h Head 3- Behringer 4x12 (MEH) How much do you think I could get per item? The ESP is flawless with the exception of a small dent in the back of the neck.
I have a £100 - £180 budget, would anyone sell a decant guitar for that?
I have a £100 - £180 budget, would you sell the guitar for that?
They appear to be worth roughly £500.
Yeah I was gonna post saying £180 for an ESP Ltd ehhhhhhh But I didn't want to seem like a prick, not that you seem like a prick for pointing it out Shibbey, I was going to be a bit more condescending about it cause im an asshole like that
Last I checked we were encouraging people not to ditch their instruments anyway because: 1) They'll regret it later 2) They'll regret it later 3) A person will not get what an instrument is worth selling used 9 times out of 10 Unless he's just buying something else instead and didn't mention it. Maybe I'm getting him confused with somebody else trying to ditch shit. Ohhhh, he's strapped for cash. Whoop. (SELL THE ACOUSTICS YOU HAVE TOO MANY)
guitar discussion thread's gone too commercial all anyone cares about is how much their guitar is worth
guitar discussion thread's gone too commercial all anyone cares about is how much their guitar is worth
A guitar is as much worth as the player :buddy: So in most cases that is 5 cents or below.
Here it is! Arrived a day early. It sounds great, tuners are great, and plays/feels great. It even sounds good playing Megadeth if I really wanted to. Something I noticed though, is that the pickup covers on the on Rondomusic are yellow, which prefer black, and the pickguard is cork rather than black. Weird, but it is still sexy.

MIM Fender Strat in an hour and a half :p
Should I buy my first (non bass) guitar second hand? I am looking for something that has a decant vibrato bridge, for around £150. Is that possible?

I should stop cutting up my pick hand I can't hold a pick that way at all.
MIM Fender Strat in an hour and a half :p
Also about your first post, I have a MIM strat as well, I was gonna change out the pickups but decided not to because the stock ones are quite good. Just saying that I think it is kinda unnecessary to get better ones at the moment.

It has a hint of Rickenbacker, which can only be a good thing.
G&L Tribute Legacy on the left, 2002 Mexican Standard Stratocaster.. I really honestly cannot believe I got that Fender for £200 tonight.. the thing is 8 years old and is in prestine condition, it looks like it was bought brand new yesterday but I confirmed the Serial on it, it was definitely manufactured in 02-03. The pickups are nice as hell too, I was going to change them at first but they're lovely. Not as stratty as I'd like but they're definitely Fender tone through and through.
Just a random thing I thought I'd share. A neighbor of mine works at a liquor store, and he sold a large amount of Sammy Hagar's Cabo-Wabo tequila, so, as a promotional, they gave him a guitar personally signed by Sammy. My neighbor who doesn't play came and asked my dad if he wanted it. So, that's pretty cool. I dunno where he has the thing, if I find it I'll take a picture of it.
Recommended, then?
Yeah, it's very nice. I would've paid $600 for it if I saw it at a store.
Just ordered my new strings today. How exactly do you put them on though
Just ordered my new strings today. How exactly do you put them on though
just look up a guide on youtube. it's not that hard, but the first time I changed strings I had the guy in the shop do it for me so I knew what to do.
First time I changed strings I put two strings in the wrong place. It wasn't until after clipping I realised what I had done. No pressure :downs:
I was thinking of building a strat with 3 Hot rails pre wired. Basicly this: Good idea for ~70 dollars?
strat + humbuckers? :geno:
single coil ones
Im selling it so I can get some money together to buy a car soon.. I mean, I like the guitar, but I can always buy another when I get back together after buying a car. Im from the US (Michigan).. Everything is in good condition, and im just trying to figure out what the list everything for. EDIT: Cannot sell the acoustics.. Two are family handmedowns, one was a gift from a family member.
strat + humbuckers? :geno:
I already have a MIM strat that is SSS, I wanted to use it for a custom one I'm planning to build.
strat + humbuckers? :geno:
It can sound good. Fender is selling one with a dimarzio tone control singlecoil humbucker on the bridge position and while the guitar is quite expensive it sounds incredible. (it costs 1800€)
single coil ones
"single coil humbuckers" someone knows jack about guitars :p their either single coils or humbuckers, the size doesn't change anything.. excent quality maybe.
I'm pretty sure those pickups get rid of background noise but keep the same tone as single coils.
They don't. They're just a small form factor made to squeeze into the same space a Single Coil would. You know how if you use say only the bridge or only the neck pickup on a Strat with single coils it hums, then when you switch to bridge-mid or neck-mid it doesnt? Well when you pickup from 2 at once they cut eachother out.. so essentially Humbuckers are 2 thinline Single coils wrapped into one to "Buck" the hum, hence the name Humbucker. They sound nothing like single coils however and then when you combine more than one it just gets too fat and muddy sounding to be anything like a strat. Call me a strat enthusiast but I'm not a fan of Humbuckers.. and I do own 2 guitars with HBs including a Stratocaster, albeit not a Fender or any other reputable Strat-copy manufacturer.
