It looks like that Dean Schenker signature, but not quite, the paint is angled differently and the headstock doesn't look right. All I know is, it looks sexy.

So, has anyone here played a Paul Allender PRS SE? I just played one today and I really think that's the next guitar I'm gonna get. I loved it so much. Played great, neck was nice and thin but not too thin, and it had pretty wicked sustain.

It's an amazing guitar. Personally I prefer the regular SE Custom because the sound is more versatile and easier to mould into what you want, but if you play metal and the like the Paul Allender is great.

I should've taken guitar lessons when I was younger. I guess it's too late to start now.

After of my first year of playing serious guitar I started taking lessons.

3 years later one of the best, if not the best, piano players of Iceland called me the best music student of eastern Iceland. I will always hold that close to me, but I know I could be MUCH better.

Yeah. I had guitar lessons for like. A few months. But my teacher always wanted to "Jam" and I didn't learn anything so I stopped going..

I really wish I could take up guitar lessons now. I'd improve so much.

Thanks, I'm actually thinking of getting a Schecter C-7, are they good? I'm currently tossing up between a Schecter Hellraiser C-7 and an Agile Interceptor Pro

It's never too late. I taught my self for 3 years and have been taking jazz guitar lessons for the past 2, and my improvising, chord knowledge and overall technique has improved out of sight.
If you get lessons, and give your all to them, you will improve, it doesn't matter how old or good you are.

I have the Schecter C-7 standard, which I believe is the same thing without the EMG's(and probably minor stuff like cheaper tuners/nut/bridge)
The Hellraiser might have neck-through as well

The thing is the hellraiser costs like double the price, so I'm not sure it's worth it

My teacher wanted to do that, and improv (if that's what you mean by Jam)

I stuck with it and now I can improvise better. I'm glad I did

Funny thing is, I hate playing with other people so it's next to useless.

I enjoy it though :)

The main thing setting it apart for me is the neck-through. I just can't play a bolt on comfortably, they feel too clunky to handle properly. Although I'm not actually a big fan of EMGs, so that might be a problem... Again a problem with the Agile. Why do all 7-strings need to have them?! I'd much prefer a set of Seymour Duncans or Dimarzios, low-mid range ones cost about the same as the EMGs

Well then you should go with the C-7 Standard, it has set-in neck that feels REALLY good and I couldn't tell it apart from a neck-through.
Also it has Duncan Designed 'buckers which sound awesome, heavy and hot yet warm and genuine
