I simply don't understand why anybody cares enough about how someone holds their pick to argue about it to this extent
Tosin Abasi
You're forgetting Tosin is a NOBODY
You're forgetting Tosin is a NOBODY
You're forgetting that he is probably better than most of us combined.
There, I made it for you guys.
You're forgetting that he is probably better than most of us combined.
I think you meant to say all of us.
Abasi is absurdly good. His technique for some reason makes me uncomfortable watching him though. I don't get it :v: I'm surprised in this talk of technique that Michael Romeo wasn't mentioned. Listening to him play live it just sounds like a machine. He's almost too perfect :ohdear:

And why I just might need a second pair of pants when I go MEET Symphony X this April.
It's impossible to try and explain this to someone who has such a strong opinion about this. I give up.
I thought everybody just more or less chilled out on that topic.
[img_thumb]http://tindeck.com/image/jwhr/stats.png[/img_thumb] How's the tone of the guitar?
Sounds neat by itself, but I have to wonder how it would sit in a mix.
I think you meant to say all of us.
I don't know how good everyone is so I went with the safe choice of most.
You're forgetting Tosin is a NOBODY
I vote for this to be the Worst Post on Facepunch 2010
[img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/3353yid.png[/img_thumb] There, I made it for you guys.
Make another one with him saying ''Dean roxx'' or something.
there is nothing wrong with Deans :saddowns:
there is nothing wrong with Deans :saddowns:
Other than everything, of course.
How do you adjust the string height then? :/
http://www.ibanez.com/support/help#ati
Other than everything, of course.
You are stupid. Okay I should really stop those kinds of posts.
You are stupid. Okay I should really stop those kinds of posts.
I'm suprised at the average FPer's innability to recognise a joke, considering half the people on this forum are snarky and sarcastic all the damn time.
The V necks on every Dean but the Dave Mustaine model has made me want to punch something innocent
I'm suprised at the average FPer's innability to recognise a joke, considering half the people on this forum are snarky and sarcastic all the damn time.
I'm pretty sure he's joking too. Or was that a joke as well? TOO MUCH META Anyway, can somebody explain to me what kind of exercise you do to you pinky so it sits solid on a eh fuck the name's not coming to me a say you've got an F# major with an augmented second and the fourth above in there too or whatever the fuck it is you're doing 5799 with index/ring/pinkyx2 or index/middle/ringx2 I can never get the fourth to sound clean unless I'm doing it with my ring finger. What do I do to fix this pinky weakness?
The V necks on every Dean but the Dave Mustaine model has made me want to punch something innocent
I think that whatever models that headstock is on, suits it. There are models that don't have it, such as the Soltero and Hillsboro bass to name 2
Why not index/middle/ring/pinky?
It's not that I can't do it other ways (I was getting by with index/middle/pinky or the other two), I just wanted to know if I could shore that one up.
I think that whatever models that headstock is on, suits it. There are models that don't have it, such as the Soltero and Hillsboro bass to name 2
It's not the headstock. The actual neck is shaped into a V. The only Dean which I'm aware of which isn't a V is the Dave Mustaine model which is a D shaped neck. And even then it was too thin for me :v:

Also, my Dad is gonna call the wood mill on Monday for our Alder block. I hope they are open, because my dad said a lot of those mills around here close down for the holiday, and might not be able to produce special wood blocks.
I think Schecters have D-shapes, they're comfortable as hell
My Apex2 has a D Shaped Wizard II neck. :smug:
Your toothpick neck can suck me. I'd rather play a baseball bat neck, which makes ERG's so bloody difficult to find for me :saddowns: Might nab a Schecter at some point, but I find them really unappealing apart from mine. HOWEVER. Chris Garza's sig looks pretty sweet: http://plixi.com/p/61451753
