Abasi is absurdly good. His technique for some reason makes me uncomfortable watching him though. I don't get it :v:

I'm surprised in this talk of technique that Michael Romeo wasn't mentioned. Listening to him play live it just sounds like a machine. He's almost too perfect :ohdear:

But he plays like a machine that somehow understands feelings.
Which is why I unhealthily worship him.
And why I just might need a second pair of pants when I go [b]MEET[/b] Symphony X this April.

Anyway, can somebody explain to me what kind of exercise you do to you pinky so it sits solid on a
eh fuck the name's not coming to me a say you've got an F# major with an augmented second and the fourth above in there too or whatever the fuck it is
you're doing 5799 with index/ring/pinkyx2 or index/middle/ringx2
I can never get the fourth to sound clean unless I'm doing it with my ring finger. What do I do to fix this pinky weakness?

I think that whatever models that headstock is on, suits it. There are models that don't have it, such as the Soltero and Hillsboro bass to name 2

It's not that I can't do it other ways (I was getting by with index/middle/pinky or the other two), I just wanted to know if I could shore that one up.

It's not the headstock. The actual neck is shaped into a V. The only Dean which I'm aware of which isn't a V is the Dave Mustaine model which is a D shaped neck. And even then it was too thin for me :v:

I like Thin U, and D shapes.

Also, my Dad is gonna call the wood mill on Monday for our Alder block. I hope they are open, because my dad said a lot of those mills around here close down for the holiday, and might not be able to produce special wood blocks.

Dude I love big necks as well and my SChecter is perfect :v:

But don't you already have a bunch of ERGs?
