Why the SG?
I'm going to buy a new guitar :v:
It might come in handy then.
Because I think I it looks awesome, has a great neck and sounds fantastic
Also Quite versatile can be used for everything between blues rock and Metal
It feels quite good, but it isn't as smooth as the Telecaster (according to me). Is it a big difference between Epiphone and the real deal?

Not really, both are quality built
Gibsons have better hardware and electronics though
The one thing that I missed about the Tele was the lack of distinctive metal sound, but I don't play that kind of raw stuff. If I need to, I'd just pick up my Ibanez. :v:
What are some good songs to learn in drop d tuning? I've learned "killing in the name of" (ratm) and "unchained" (van halen) so that's the sort of stuff im looking for.
changing tunings with a floating trem takes while, so Id like to learn as much as I can before changing back to standard.
Just got a pretty sweet tone out of my amp.

sorry, but I think this is really bad
when you demo tone and have no backing track it's not the best way to demo said tone with just some lead no melody

All nightmare long by Metallica?
Kashmir? Or is that in DADGAD?
Metallica is not really my thing, though I might try it anyways. More looking for 70's metal, 70's and 80's hard rock, or maybe some 90's alternative rock.

'Tis DADGAD
How to check again how many people posted in this thread and how much? I bet Nonikai and mynames2long spammed this thread up quite good :buddy:

That is one beautiful bass.
Doesn't look that wide either for a 7 stringer.

I might as well post some pictures of all my instruments because I don't think I have yet.
The bass I was talking about. I bought is off my brother almost two yeras ago. I can't get a good shot of it, but the strings don't look dirty at all and they really don't make my fingers feel dirty or smell when I play it.

My really cheap acoustic. I dropped it one time and it suffered greatly.

This is my brother's bass. He is over in Afghanistan and he said I can use it. It is very nice. I can't seem to find one of the knob caps, so I'll have to find that before he comes back.

My brother's acoustic guitar. It is really nice and the wood has a real nice feel to it.

My Mexican Strat. First guitar I got and was about 300 dollars. I like it a lot, but it has a few issues. The back plate where the springs are got snapped off and I've been too lazy to buy a new one.
Really, the Epi SG Special? I didn't like them. I'd at least get the G-310, which is what I have (and had since I started). No real problems with it, I just prefer EMG's and wanted a 24th fret.
Dude, its not an epi SG Special Its the gibson one... Heres the link: http://www.4sound.no/itempg.aspx?id=667859&artno=126947
Nevermind the lauguage.
I really didn't like SGs in the past, then I went through a stage of "they're cool, but not really for me", and now I definitely wouldn't mind a nice cherry SG with P90s.

I think it looks good except for those teeth thingies by the tip of the top horn, they look really off and like dislocated from the main concept
