Blackstar
*bro fist* it sounds pretty sweet, but it sounds ten times better when using the EQ on the digitech rp1000
It's an amazing guitar. Personally I prefer the regular SE Custom because the sound is more versatile and easier to mould into what you want, but if you play metal and the like the Paul Allender is great.
I really like the new ones, plus the beautiful red it comes in. I wish it had a 7th string, it would be everything I have ever wanted in a guitar. Ah well, for $500-$600 US I can't complain, it's a freaking incredible guitar for that price. I'm gonna see if I can get one sometime soon, I really fell in love with it when I played it yesterday. I've liked some LTD's and Schecter's, but this PRS is literally everything I am looking for, sans the 7th string. It played everything I threw at it like a dream.

I can't really play for anyone, so it's a bit of a bummer.
LTD Deluxes are superb quality for their price.

He's still in the negotiation phase with PRS and it'll be a while before we hear anything more, but it is a glimmer of hope from a fellow ERG and PRS enthusiast :v:
PRS 7 string?! I'm :allears:

The little Vox Pathfinder isn't anything special, but it's enough for me at the moment.
I'm trying to use Amplitube and inbetween my hitting the notes and the computer registering it, there is a massive delay, any one have a solution?
I always wondered : Do hollowbodied electrics have a louder unplugged sound than regular electrics? As in can they be played acousticly. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline] Im talking mainly the archtop designs
Yes
PRS 7 string?! I'm :allears:
Apparently. There have been plans in the pipeline for a while according to a PRS worker on SS.org. And apparently Allender let something slip about a sig model during an audience interaction thing on an interview. So I guess it SHOULD be a matter of time :v: Dave Weiner who plays for Steve Vai already has 2, Wes Borland had one, (ugh) Chad Kroeger has one I think. Those are all Private Stock's mind you :v:
I'm trying to use Amplitube and inbetween my hitting the notes and the computer registering it, there is a massive delay, any one have a solution?
Do some research on ASIO4All. [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
I always wondered : Do hollowbodied electrics have a louder unplugged sound than regular electrics? As in can they be played acousticly.
Yes because the sound will amplify inside that space. The whole reason acoustic guitars have a big body is so that the sound can amplify. With a solid body electric, the sound isn't carried very well into the air. Think about it like this. If you sing in a smallish room with pretty bad acoustics your voice won't sound that loud. But if you sing in large empty room your voice will seem much louder because the space is allowing it to amplify. This is why most people sound better when singing in the shower, because the space generally has better acoustics, it reflects more sound than it absorbs. The space will also add in a bit of natural reverb which enhance the sound a bit. Now to really imagine how it works with an acoustic guitar, imagine the room with good acoustics to be the body of the guitar and the walls are literally vibrating. You're standing outside of the room near the open door (sound hole). Now imagine an electric guitar, there isn't really any space for the sound to amplify in. But a hollow body does have some space, so the sound does amplify and sound louder than how an electric would.
For some reason, the Seymour Duncan catalogue at the music shop didn't have the Cutting Edge active bass soapbar.
My teacher wanted to do that, and improv (if that's what you mean by Jam) I stuck with it and now I can improvise better. I'm glad I did Funny thing is, I hate playing with other people so it's next to useless. I enjoy it though :)
That's just the thing. He didn't even encourage improv. He wasn't very professional which is why I left. I'd go there ready to learn stuff and he'd just be like.. "Hey dude let's play some Alice In Chains songs or something" Even after asking him to teach me stuff he just made it awkward. So I left.
Taking a guitar duet with my teacher on thursday. We are performing Sir Duke live to a lot of people. It's the concerts for the local music school if you were wondering :v:
I own an unknown Jackson Dinky A Fender FM15 DSP combo Digitech Metal Master distortion Just recently bought a Cry Baby GCB-95 wah. Nothing near a fancy setup, but I manage. :)
I always wondered : Do hollowbodied electrics have a louder unplugged sound than regular electrics? As in can they be played acousticly.
Yeah, but they're not as loud and don't sound as good as a proper acoustic. A proper Jazzbox might sound better, but a thinline like my Casino isn't that great acoustically.
lolsamebass
They're surprisingly sexy for how little they cost. Is there a good video or something out there for learning how to do finger crap on acoustic? I need to actually do something with this thing. On that note, it doesn't have a truss rod but the steel strings on right now aren't that heavy, would switching it to nylon fuck the neck over?

I had a free service on it, and the bridge pickup was getting kinda dodgy and cutting out sometimes Not to mention the input has been loose ever since I got it. So it was in the shop

I took it 2 saturdays ago, and I never heard back from the so I called them today and they said it was fixed. I think they are having difficulty finding guitar techs as the only one who used to work at the shop left to work in the middle of the city instead.
