And overall I'd rather have the Paul Allender PRS SE that I'm getting, but between the two Prophecy lines the EX has the features I'd be going for but the GX has the better looks.

I swear by medium-heavy DR .10s
First 3 strings are a normal set of .10s, the lower 3 end at 0.52 instead of 0.48

If/when I come into a shitload of money I'm so buying every artist I know kit. The graphic dudes are getting non-ghetto workstations, the hiphoppers MPCs and proper sample libraries, the one chick singer a proper space to record and a stocked mic closet, and errybody in here something worth at least $8k if sold on the open market.
It'd pay for itself in the long run. $500 sample packs of each and every unique instrument through a unique amp and with a couple exclusive articulations would probably sell pretty well.

I wouldn't mind a mentor, or being around someone who's better than me. The easiest way to get better is to play with people who are better than you.
