im gonna go on a spending spree on pedals soon this is what i have come up with [img_thumb]http://i52.tinypic.com/34erxn6.png[/img_thumb] i already own the wah, i think i have the best order for them. plus cables and power, it all adds up to about £500. what i want to know is if there is anything you would change? i dont really want to pay any more.
You should be weary, the TS9 loses some bass for blues. I have one, and I love it. But I wish I would've gotten one that gives you more low end tube bass (if that makes any sense). Here's a video comparison: I think the "Blues Tubes" sounds the best.
Thinking of getting an ESP LTD EX-401. What's your guys experience with them?
i played guitar when i was a kid, i feel like getting back into it i didn't know the note names, just how to read music so apparently i was special :downs:
Thoughts on an LP custom?
What about 'em?
Fender Lee Ranaldo Signiture Jazzmaster [img_thumb]http://img3.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pics/products/1/4/3/606143.jpg[/img_thumb] Got this yesterday for an early Christmas present to myself. Had to get it couriered from NY to where I live in Aus. It's fucking amazing. Specs:
Jazzmasters have to have those big fat p90s to be jazzmasters to me :saddowns:
Jazzmasters have to have those big fat p90s to be jazzmasters to me :saddowns:
Shhh, not on the same page. It'll hear you.
Thinking of getting an ESP LTD EX-401. What's your guys experience with them?
I highly recommend them. If you really want a Floyd rose, then great. I have one, and I love it, but I hate the floyd rose. Not because it is bad, it is great quality, I just regret buying a guitar with a floyd rose, period. Either way, the EX-360 or 401DX are great guitars.
Jazzmasters have to have those big fat p90s to be jazzmasters to me :saddowns:
They're not P90s
Hey guys I got a great idea I'm not going to talk about guitar, I'm going to go play it Holy fuck
Hey guys I got a great idea I'm not going to talk about guitar, I'm going to go play it Holy fuck
I'm playing guitar while I browse the internet all the time. Except for the intimate moments :v:
Wow, could not do that [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] No sarcasm, I need to focus when I play
Hey guys I got a great idea I'm not going to talk about guitar, I'm going to go play it Holy fuck
have fun not being able to multitask
That is why I try to sing along when playing :eng101:
That is why I try to sing along when playing :eng101:
That's the one thing that gets me. I can sing and drum, but I can only just do backup on guitar.
I'm playing guitar while I browse the internet all the time. Except for the intimate moments :v:
I should probably do this. Might help with my pathetic slowness. Well, semi-pathetic, I just wish I could downpick a lot faster, but the only solution to that is "do a fucking lot of it."
have fun not being able to multitask
Have fun not concentrating on guitar instead of guitar/pc and then not enjoying it as much [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] I love the tone of an acoustic So warm and loving Like the girlfriend I never had
I guess you aren't into guitar enough to follow through with what you say instead you just keep posting and trying to criticize people for doing something you can't :byewhore:
I remember when I couldn't alternate pick at all, and it was frustrating me. I then watched the Dave Mustaine interview with Dave Navarro, and he showed how he picks on Train Of Consequences. Now, I had looked up guides, but I always seemed to have a block in my brain. It showed his hand very closely, and I imitated him. Now, Holy Wars... The Punishment Due is only a problem for my left hand.
alternate picking just seemed logical to me but I still can only pick the top two strings about 2/3 the speed I can the lower ones [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] so thank god for legato and high gain amps
alternate picking just seemed logical to me but I still can only pick the top two strings about 2/3 the speed I can the lower ones [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] so thank god for legato and high gain amps
Why's that? I can pick all strings at the same speed.
I think it has something to do with my anchoring I can do triplets at most at the same tempo but not continuous picking
I think it has something to do with my anchoring I can do triplets at most at the same tempo but not continuous picking
How are you anchoring? I anchor with my pinky on the side of my bridge pickup.
I rest the bottom most part of the heel of my hand on the E/A strings and my pinky and ring fingers are just limp doing whatever
I rest the bottom most part of the heel of my hand on the E/A strings and my pinky and ring fingers are just limp doing whatever
Okay, so more or less the same as me.
I need some viagra for my pinky and ring fingers
I need some viagra for my pinky and ring fingers
Better get designing it haha
You should be able to play clean legato faster than you pick cleanly. I'm saying this because it is far easier to do fast legato passages than it is to do fast picking passages. When you get to a certain tempo and skill level you can play them at the same tempo, for exampe: John Petrucci can pick as fast as he can play legato. I'm not saying that you can't get your picking speed up to your fastest legato speed, but I am saying that you need to have really solid picking technique to do so and that legato is just easier to play cleanly.
I turned this Into this [editline]18th December 2010[/editline] Still not finished completely, need new pickups for the bridge and a single coil
Is that a swingbucker?
