Thanks man, basically looking at it because it looks good for its modest price
No problem, if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, go for the ME-50. One of my friends has the ME-70, but we both find the ME-50 a lot easier to use.

Right I'll bear that in mind, its just on ebay there is a ME-70 going for less than an ME-50, although I doubt it will end that way
Could someone explain me what the hell djent is?
Djent is awesome, that is all you need to know.
Also there was a dedicated djent thread on here, but I am too lazy to search it up.
So slinky deadened weak strings = change strings?
They're no longer stiff or rigid like when you first change them
[editline]19th December 2010[/editline]
Also Kab, JS1R =/= JS1? Is the R for Reverse headstock? because that guitar is my exact one

Deadened is the key to changing your strings. Another sign is if they don't hold tuning that well anymore.
I think I have a problem with my Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal.
When I press it all the way down, I hear the click sound, but there is no effect, just normal guitar.
What I press it all the way down, and hear a click again, there is no sound coming from the amp at all.
Is it a problem with the cables or the pedal itself? It's my very first pedal. Also, it doesn't automatically go back up.
Improvising a solo that goes in 7/8 is fucking hard

Figure out where the accent is in the measure, and just ramble a bit and hit a key note on the accent and the new measure.
Are you playing to a backing track? I can imagine it would be a lot tougher if there was no backing.
Either i suck ass at guitar, or the rhythm to opeth's harvest is fucking insane.

Is it correctly plugged in? The guitar and amp on the correct sides?
Is it powered via battery or adapter?

Do you mean the acoustic strumming or the 3/4 (i think) pattern?
Do you mean the acoustic strumming or the 3/4 (i think) pattern?
To be honest i'm not even completely sure, The 3/4ths I believe

Yeah I figured that out, sounds nicer when you hit the key notes on the start of the bar. But it's still hard because we're( atleast I am ) so used to the regular 4/4 sig.
Just count one-two-three--one-two-three--one-two-three~ along with the song, it should make it easier to follow.
Any opinions on the Boss ME-50/ ME-70?
I've used the 70 for about a year now, and I love the fuzz function. The fuzz distortion isn't on the 50 I believe.

There are 2 designated types of fuzz on the ME-50. However, everything sounds fuzzy when you use too much gain.

Can someone help me with the chord progressions at 1:48?
I have no idea what's going on there.

The 70 has 10 distortions and some amp modeling.
I use the amp modeling to get some distortion when I'm on my clean channel, and use my amp's distortion channel to get rougher distorted sounds. Goes pretty well together.
Unless you dig the dead sound really.
I always change my strings if they can't hold tune too well. Which is about 3 weeks for me.

Ok, I figured it out, it was a dead battery!
But still, the pedal doesn't go back up, it just rests down at the bottom of the pedal. Because of that, I can't adjust the wah-y-ness, and I have to use my hand to bring it back up.

That sounds like a bad spring. Also, you don't have the power adapter for it? That pedal is going to cost you a fortune down the line if you don't get it, 9V's don't last all that long. The one I used when I first got my 95Q lasted a few weeks at best.

If you unplug the input and output from the pedal, they'll last much longer. But it is worth it to buy a power adapter.
Well, the ME-50 went on ebay for too much, looks like I'm gonna get a Gt-3 now, any more opinions? :v:
Ah that's too bad, sorry, I don't know anything about the Gt-3 :(

The pedal is supposed to work like that. There's no spring. You just step on the opposite end of the pedal to bring it back up.
I'd like the operation to be the opposite way round with my wah. The wah effect comes in on pulling the pedal up, whereas I'd like it to do that when pushing down. And if it had a spring, that would make it even better, because then I wouldn't have to worry about it falling and producing the effect when I don't want it

See, I am not sure about that. They have the same pickups, and neck, but I think the JS1 has alder body, and the JS1R uses some weird wood that I don't recognize, and isn't stated often. Also, both have reversed headstock right?
What a marvelous practice yesterday night.
We were watching a local band practice (Urð, they're fucking amazing). They've been playing for 1 and a half years now and they're recording yada yada, all swell.
We get up and decide to play infront of them. I fuck up the solo ~LoL!!~ but I got told good job on the composition blah blah. So I was flattered (they are all in their late twenties and very experienced so I was ecstatic).
Here's the best part. After going through 4 of our 5 songs... our bassist breaks his A string (G string tho because it's tuned down one step heheeh!!!) and doesn't have a spare.
We proceeded to playing Sir Duke really slowly, was funny to see the bassist try and play it with no a string.
A bass string breaking? I've never seen that.
...and doesn't have a spare.
I hate people who come unprepared, A cheap set of "Get me through the gig" bass strings is like £8 at most. (Only ever broke a G though)
I always take 2 spare batteries (Active Pups), A spare for every lead, Extension cords, a D.I. Box and XLR lead, Small toolkit and gaffa. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
Even if it isn't that important, spare strings are a must... Your fancy instrument is just a nicely shaped plank of wood otherwise. :v:
