I do repetitive stuff like scales when I watch TV or whatever, it helps. It would be more efficient to just focus on what you're doing, but watching TV doesn't require much attention from you so why not play guitar while you watch.
Does anyone still have a picture of that guitar which has its fretboard going over the neck pickup? [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] Found it:
What in the holy fuck
Oh god.
Looks pretty How does that work though
Wood doesn't disrupt the magnetic field of the pickup. You wouldn't be able to use the neck pickup if you're fretting right over or past it, but the extended range is usable with the bridge pickup
Wont the frets disturb the magnetic field?
Nah, I don't know specifics why, but trust me :v:
Fuckin' magnets How DO they work?
idunno ask johnnymo
Nah, I don't know specifics why, but trust me :v:
My experience on the internet thaught me not to trust anyone again ever.
the internet touched me in places i didnt even know i had [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] Also unbannneeddd
Wont the frets disturb the magnetic field?
They're still objects, so it probably wouldn't.
Nah, I don't know specifics why, but trust me :v:
It would be because they frets aren't vibrating, the vibration of a string is what disturbs the magnetic field.
Darkslicer is the one who gets voted off the island repeatedly because of his frequent use of Line 6 products.
:v: Hey! I might like Line 6 and I might get voted off but I still did not saw anyone here in this thread getting a better recording tone! :unsmith:
Am I imagining things, or is that really a 36-fret neck?
24-high E was already pretty high. I can't imagine 32-high E to be audible.

I got to play a concert on the 30th of december in a bar. Gonna be marvelous.
All I'm playing any time soon is prom. I'm using my friend's (his band, then me and a friend guitarist join them) 150W bass amp. My friend guitarist has a 75W and the guitarist from the band has a 35W :v:
A 30W tube amp is enough to blow the house up for prom. Trust me.
A 30W tube amp is enough to blow the house up for prom. Trust me.
Especially if it's a class AB. And even moreso, if you have a PA that you mic it with.
A 30W tube amp is enough to blow the house up for prom. Trust me.
Dunno if it's tube or not, but it'll need to be cranked to hear it along with the bass amp and the 75W guitar. Still, I can't wait. As long as I can get a case for my Dean (no fucking hardcases but the model specific, and it's hard to find a non specific case to fit a 51" by 19" bass, so I have to get a softcase. Luckily there is a Metalman bass series soft case that's £50 cheaper).
Yeah but watcha gonna do when you have to play live?!?!?!?!?! I got to play a concert on the 30th of december in a bar. Gonna be marvelous.
I play drums in my band  so that's no problem.
Shit. Also, the Dual terror is a Class A though. Still. It's louder than loud can be loud.

You'll be fine with a 35W. You might be able to get some good tube distortion. Can I ask you guys what effect is being used here @ 1:20 [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] The nice distortion, did he just rape the tubes at high volume, or is it really a muff?
Well the band is doing Johnny B Goode, we're doing Thunderstruck, then Blitzkrieg Bop. Should be good fun, I'm distorting my bass for Blitzkrieg Bop.
I got this sexy motherfucker: [img_thumb]http://buyonsalesnow.com/images/PRS-SE-Custom-24-Electric-Guitar-25th-Anniversary-Royal-Blue.jpg[/img_thumb] Had to pay for half of it though :saddowns:

MY NEW BABY! Not sure what. That is some damn nice distortion though

I wanted 'em for harmonics and when I eventually get a worthy tube amp. But mine's also coil-tapped, so it doesn't quite violate clean tone as badly as everybody makes them out to.

Atleast not for the moment because I'm not likely to get a tube amp for a long time, and they sound like balls clean otherwise (unless coil tapped so I've heard). I am incredibly jealous of PwnNoobsFtw's bird inlays. God I love those things. and the 25th anniversary costs the same as the regular SE did. I just missed out *shakes fist* The bats were another thing making me think of getting the Paull Allender.
