Paranoia? but i recently sold my digitech rp1000 multieffects processor on ebay and switched to this and well..... it is fucking magical.

Peeking in at this thread, will probably do so more often. Got a book to teach me to play guitar at christmas and I've been learning quite alot lately. So yeah, another noob at the party! :buddy: Man barrechords are horrible to take, gonna take alot of practice for me.

It helps with this and a whole load of stuff later on if you've got flexible hands. Also, welcome to the wonderful world of guitar. And this thread full of opinionated dicks like me!

I've been playing piano for 6 years so I figured it would help me on the way - wich it does. Both technique and theory.

I'm actually quite happy at the speed I've been progressing :buddy: I can pretty much play most of the rhythm for Seek & Destroy by metallica now but it's still pretty rough

Just remember that it's better to think you're worse than you actually are than to think you're amazing when you're not. I'm sure your playing is fine. And remember that it's quite a feat just to be able to play for most people.

Life should be like Deus Ex- I should be able to go from being a novice to an expert in any field in about a week just because I explored some closets.

Unrelated, why am I getting pain in my thumb from alternate picking? It wasn't there when I started the switch to the "conventional" grip or whatever, it's a recent thing. Doesn't seem to change regardless of whether I have my thumb pressed flat or bent, or whether I'm pinching tight or loose.
