Speaking of tunings, Eb, D, or Db?

I really want to go to D, but i want a flat tuning. I have 9-42s at the moment so Db wont work out

Ungh, my Digitech RP500 is broken. The input port is fucked or some shit, it wont work though. Really really annoyed. I guess I'll take it in to billy hyde to get fixed or something.
If anyone has any idea, going through the pedal only works when I take the power out of the pedal, and connect it through the cd/mp3 input with a converter. If I plug it into the 1/4" jack it doesn't work regardless of whether it's on or off, and if its on it doesnt work in the cd/mp3 input.
David Gilmour inspires me too much. When I hear him play I always get a strong urge to play my guitar, and I find this urge to be unstoppable. It's like I'll be listening to the radio late at night, a Pink Floyd song will come on and the next thing I now I'm playing to some jam tracks for the next hour. My playing style isn't at all influenced by him, but my urge to play guitar is. It works with other guitarist of course, but is more dominant with Gilmour.
Argh, its definitely a broken input jack/power jack, not sure which one. I don't think its the power jack though, because it still works, but its a little loose.

I believe we can all agree that most tunings are blown out of the water by Open DSus4 tuning (DADGAD)

I'm so hip with my unconventional tunings.
BBEADGBE, DADADGBE, DADADGAD, EBEADGBE, BEADGCF, BADGBE, G#G#C#F#A#D#, CGCGGC and octave drop EADGBE are all tunings I've wrote in. Fucking love altered tunings.
Along with varying "standards" and "drops"
Cog tunings can get pretty awesome. Basically the bottom 3 strings are always CGC, and then they tune the top three strings to whatever they need to play the song. Real Life is in CGCFGBb I think.
It is all about the GCGCFAD
