BEADGBE and AEADGBE are my favorites
CGCGCE Is where it is at, join the open tuning master race!
there is nothing wrong with E tuning.

Just looked at the Ibanez 2011 catalogue and now I have epic GAS for this beast.
Looks interesting I love to coil tap my 7-string schecter, so that should be even better
oh god that looks amazing
Personally, I like E standard the most.
I myself like 8-string F# standard the most for guitars. It has all the low and high notes you need in my opinion. But I do not have the money to buy an eight-string guitar sadly.
D standard with A on seventh string is nice
I'm pretty interested by the new Ibanez 7 string singlecut The Apex looks amazing but it'll probably cost a fucking fortune
D standard with A on seventh string is nice
You mean A standard or D standard for 7 strings :v:
EADG fuck yeah I have occasionally tuned to DADG and once to B standard

Doesn't show on their website for me
You mean A standard or D standard for 7 strings :v:
Yeah that :v:
I've never changed the tuning of my guitar :v:
I've only changed my tuning to play specific songs that use that tuning, although I stopped doing that once I decided just pitch shift myself down x semitones. There are some tunings that allow for some pretty cool chords that aren't possible to do with standard tuning, but I really haven't been interested in exploring.
BEADG :colbert:
I have no 5 string so I have to change my E string. it makes me sad.

The stock pickups on both are gonna suck but at least the RGD has the extended scale length.
In my experience the ARs and hollowbodies don't share Ibby's tendency for nanometer thick necks like on the RGs, which is good because thin necks cramp my hand up something fierce. A thicker necked, 7 string singlecut is right up my street. Another wafer necked superstrat 7 can tapdance in a minefield :colbert:

RG2077XL had a 27" scale length. I'm not opposed to the specs of either, regardless of my previous post, but the specs for the singlecut will likely be much closer to my kinda deal :v:

Anybody got any suggestions for increasing dexterity in your hand? I'm struggling to get some chords learned simply because I can't get my fingers where I want them to go.

Sporkfire's ban got reduced :saddowns:
who cares this is the guitar discussion thread
I just got back from my mates house after jamming. First time jamming together and it was pretty awesome :v: I used his wah pedal with my bass and made some cool effects :3:
