Anyways, I've been contemplating shit for a while. I'm currently saving for a Marshall head, but am really just going to save a shitload of money, then go to the music store.
However, in the middle of the saving process is my birthday, which means I need something under $350ish that is guitar related but decent enough to use in my future solo project. If I asked for money, I would only get around $200.
So yea, what should I ask for as a birthday gift? And pedals that are good for tone boosting or other effects that are superior to inbuilt amp effects? Or cheapo cabinet speakers I could try to break mother dearests balls for? Even guitars at all?

You'd be looking more for a Vox. Fender is a very American clean sound. Vox is the British clean sound, and the Beatles made use of a Vox AC30 for most of their albums IIRC

Depends on the tone you're looking for. The EVH 5150 is basically a Peavey 5150 on steroids with some more treble.
Doesn't have the most pristine cleans, but dear god does it have a metric fuckton of gain.
Petri Lindroos from Ensiferum uses one.

I've got a 120 watt amp. Good for gigging, and if it sounds :krad2: then why worry about the ridiculous wattage? There's a volume knob for a reason

well the only properly unique model I think they have is the ML, the rest are copies or based off of other models. as for tone, might be true for the guitars but I dunno since I don't play guitar.

Okay. I've kinda been liking the Peavey 5150 model in Amplitube 3, and I loved the sound of the 5150 in this pickup demo:
