If the truss rod adjustment is at the headstock, then hold the guitar vertically with the body facing away from you, and when adjusting remember
Righty tighty, lefty loosey :v:
If there's too much bow in the neck, you need to tighten it. Do very small adjustments, and allow time in between for the neck to settle. After you've finished, the next day the neck might have settled more so you may need to adjust again. As long as you don't tighten or loosen too much too quickly you wont damage the guitar.
The only effects you need are Distortion and Chorus. Diversity to the max. Oh yeah, and feedback with an intense Phaser KICKS ASS

Wah and whammy are great too And don't forget reverb
Delay!!!
They're good, but not crucial
Delay and chorus are pretty crucial if you want to extend your horizons I have neither ;__;
Get HardWire delay like me and have a massive horizon
All effects I actually use are reverb, distortion, fuzz, chorus and compression. I ocasionally use the other effects on my ME-70 to play some ambient stuff.
if I ever get another effect pedal it'd be a rush pedal [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] er I mean chorus pedal
Friend of mine is starting to play bass, and asked me to suggest an amp. Since I don't know anything about bass, please tell me what to tell her.
Friend of mine is starting to play bass, and asked me to suggest an amp.
Friend of mine is starting to play bass, and asked me to suggest an amp. Since I don't know anything about bass, please tell me what to tell her.
If she can afford it, you can find Gallien-Krueger combos used at ~$200.
Can anyone tell me what a (#) means on a tab?
Can anyone tell me what a (#) means on a tab?
its the symbol for sharp? [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] lol i know little about tabs
Can anyone tell me what a (#) means on a tab?
it's a half step (one fret) up from the note [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] like the 5th fret on an E string would be A and the 6th fret is an A#
Can anyone tell me what a (#) means on a tab?
On a tab? Can you give us an example?
though I think most people would call A# Bb but that's irrelevant
though I think most people would call A# Bb but that's irrelevant
we need pepin in here.
quick someone play a b#
The last run in the 18 & Life solo is an absolute bastard
I was bored so I wrote this. http://pastebin.com/cta6a6kb Have fun.
quick someone play a b#
You do call it that in some extremely fucked keys though, don't you? Like C# Maj. Gotta get ever letter fairly represented. Not having at least one B makes Haydn cry.
You do call it that in some extremely fucked keys though, don't you? Like C# Maj. Gotta get ever letter fairly represented. Not having at least one B makes Haydn cry.
that would be in C# minor wouldn't it?
It'd be in both I think.
Wait no it'd be in C# and C# harmonic minor [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] I wouldn't consider those extremely fucked keys though I think in Eb minor you have F## Or something like that
It's cos the Circle of Fifths is actually a spiral, we just ignore it :v: Also, lots of keys have enharmonics in them, we just keep them as "notes which don't exist" as it's proper practice to do so, as Xeno said
This is why I hate conventional notation. Fuck letter names. Gimme a 36/40/43 and keep your C Maj at octave 3. I'd rather read a score written in a tracker than on paper when staffs are arbitrary and clefs placed equally so, and scales can have fucking phantom notes.
guys I meant the note b# :downs:
Which exists in certain keys :v:
