guys I meant the note b# :downs:
That's what I've been saying. B sharp exists in certain C sharp keys.
I'm not really sure what's being argued here, but I'll join in anyway. Alright, after confusing myself a little, B# is essentially C, but we can call it B# for technical reasons if we want. C# is one semitone above B#, we'd assume two normally, but remember that B# is C. So there are two major scale modes that have a minor second in them, the Phrygian and the Locrian. So if we do out the notes. Locrian mode B# C# D# E# F# G# A# Oh cool, all sharps, didn't really expect that. For those that don't know, the pattern is HWWHWWW. It wouldn't work out too well with the Phrygian mode because you'd end up with a F## which doesn't look pretty. The Locrian mode is a semitone below the Ionian, which means that there is a C# and B# in the scale is C# major (or Db major). The scale with flats would be C Db Eb F Gb Ab Bb. Now you'd be more likely to see this as Db major because it is more pretty than all of those sharps in C# major.
I was bored so I wrote this. http://pastebin.com/cta6a6kb Have fun.
I shall come back tomorrow with pictures of my pentatonic lesson curriculum.
I don't really understand the point of the pentatonic scale. It's really not a separate scale, it's just taking the two most risky notes out of the original scale.
I don't really understand the point of the pentatonic scale. But yes, the pentatonic scale is a dumbed down scale. but it can be applied over almost anything.
yeah there's no reason to actually specify a note as B# when you could just use C it's like saying I have 4 quarters or 2 halves of something when you could just say 1 [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] also mmm delicious new string twang
If she can afford it, you can find Gallien-Krueger combos used at ~$200.
Can't recommend GK highly enough, Cleanest amps I have ever played. My current GK head has like 34 gigs on it now, not including gigs it had done before then (I bought it used). It has never let me down. I'll be buying one of their Neodymium-Speaker-With-Digital-Amp-Combos in the future no doubt.
I love it when all five of my guitars have brand new strings. Feels nice and fresh.
Yea and your money pocket is nice an light then :buddy:
Yea and your money pocket is nice an light then :buddy:
Yeah spending $40 on strings really wouldn't sit right with me. I'd only restring the ones that need it unless you're doing maintenance on all of them at the same time or something...
reminds me I need to buy more strings for my destroyer as the last pack is on it right now
reminds me I need to buy more strings for my les paul as i havent changed them in 10 months
finally got around to putting my guitar back together, my g string broke so now i cant play it. damn it all! [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSC04014.JPG[/img_thumb]
reminds me I need to buy more strings for my les paul as i havent changed them in 10 months
That's what happened with me, and due to being poor all of my guitars needed a stringing pretty badly. So I'm glad they're all anewed.
finally got around to putting my guitar back together, my g string broke so now i cant play it. damn it all!
Yes you can, you can get around a missing G string a lot better than a missing 1st or 6th string.
Yes you can, you can get around a missing G string a lot better than a missing 1st or 6th string.
it isnt as bad as a 1st or 6th, i agree, but it is still a terrible pain given the type of songs i play.
I've always found it a bit fun figuring out how to play something with a missing string. It makes what I know how to play a bit more challenging and there is a feeling that I actually somewhat know what I'm doing.

C# sounds cooler than Db
I always do sharps instead of flats, I don't know why, but I find it easier.
I've always preferred flats since I sight read a lot more jazz charts than anything, typically in flat keys
Its just preference really
I was thinking of getting one of these(Halo Black from Rondo music): And modding the crap out of it since it is just $140. Also, what body shape do you guys like more? Randy Rhoads, or a V like below?
King V looks more badass imo
Get a JS30KV Anyways, marshall JVM410 head or DSL100 half stack Is the 410 worth having to save even more money for a caninet speaker?
Its just preference really
Actually no, it is incredibly uncommon to use Db instead C#, or A# instead of Bb It's just the way it's done It's related to notation
Ignore the phaser effect, i had to convert it and it clipped into a phaser style thing. My step brother is working on this and i think it sounds beautiful, really. Wondering what you guys think of it.
Friend of mine is starting to play bass, and asked me to suggest an amp. Since I don't know anything about bass, please tell me what to tell her.
/facepalm And obviously, you don't talk to me about that?
Content from the asshole with the abused line 6! My new demo mix (this riff will be in the album I am currently writing at slow speed) I am freaking happy with the sound, still need to adjust the toms and the fade out guitar farting (but that's easy) check it out! : [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] And there is still no bass in it, but I am already collecting some money for one :buddy:
