Doesn't ship that guitar to Australia. :(

Used ones ship to aussie, and there is one "like new", so it is in perfect condition.
Make sure to get it setup though at a music place.
Yeah I might just go to a music store sometime and pick up one from there. Thanks fore the help anyway.
Alright I've decided, been thinking about it for at least a year now. Going to pick up a Schecter Omen Extreme 7! Really looking forward to it, although finding one in Australia is going to be a bitch. Doubt I'll be able to find a used one for sale, I could only find one site that sells them at all so far

What's your budget? I know a few good guitar stores that ship in Australia (From Newcastle, very good music scene here). Do you know what brands your guitar store sells?

Its damn hard to find Schecter Omen's in Aus - ship internationally from the US, its probably cheaper, too.

Know any US dealers that ship to Aus and have sell Schecter's? I will try this because the only two aussie dealers I found that stock my guitar seem to be out of stock.

They have a classifieds section, I bought my RG7620 from a guy there, was $150 or so to ship it to Australia.
My friend is buying my other friends guitar, and he´s looking to buy a ~100€ practice amp. There´s pretty much three descent choises I know of, a Micro Cube, a Peavey Vypyr or a Line 6 Spider. I have a Cube myself and I think it´s great for its size, though, I´d love to have an EQ in it and/or more amp models. Right now it isn´t really as versatile as I would like. I´ve heard you guys don´t like Line 6, so would Vypyr be the best choise? Has someone tested all three of them?

I've never played a Cube but I have played a couple of Vypyrs and at least an entry-level Spider and I have to say the Vypyr kicks the ever-loving shit out of it in terms of tone. Though neither amp will really be good to you if you're looking for pristine cleans more than distortion capability.
They both have decent cleans, but they are also really more designed for rock/metal than classic stuff. If you want that warm, pristine clean tone, Vox is your best bet at entry-level, and Fender makes some good clean amps too (but I really don't like their entry-level amps).
Oh christ I need another 20 quid to buy that Bandit I was on about earlier

Well, I don´t think he´ll be playing that much clean stuff.
BTW, can anyone play the solo from the Pompeii version of Echoes? I learned it ages ago from different tabs and the movie, and I can clearly see what Gilmour is playing, but it just doesn´t sound anything like it. It´s like his guitar is tuned half step up or something.
Here´s the clip from the movie, solo starts at 4:27:

And this is some tabs for the beginning of the solo:
------------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------|
------------------------------------------------|
--4---4\2-------------2-4-3~--3 / 4-3-3-4-6-7~--|
----------4---2--4-5----------------------------|
----------------------------------------------------|
----------------------------------------------------|
---------9~-11-11(12)11(13)/ 19(21)--9~-------------|
--9~-11~--------------------------------11~-9~------|
-----------------------------------------------11~--|
----------------------------------------------------|
That´s not exactly how I play it, but it´s the same stuff. It just sounds completely different, don´t you think?
Wish we still had that tabbing thread.
we do, just go through a few pages and you should find it.

I can't stand guitars that look like someone took a jigsaw to an Explorer.
I can't stand guitars that look like someone took a jigsaw to an Explorer.
I can understand that, but, you do know that these modified Explorers are the only reason Gibson restarted explorer models? In fact, ESP had the EXP series that was shaped almost identically to the Gibson, but since James Hetfield made the Explorer very popular under ESP EXP's, Gibson sued (at least that is one of the reasons; jealousy.)
Looks kinda neat to me. Little bit like a shoe.

Speaking of, can you order the non-Amerigimped Eclipse from any online stores that still ship to the US? That always bugged me.

What do you mean "Amerigimped"?

The Eclipse II isn't identical to the Eclipse I because of a lawsuit, but I thought that only held up in the U.S. and you could still find Eclipse Is abroad.
Looking it up now I'm horribly confused, because it looks like ESP Japan doesn't list Eclipses on their ESP page, and the closest thing I can find is in a side brand.
[editline]12th January 2011[/editline]
Yeah, Thomann.de still has Eclipse Is in stock.

What exactly did they have to change?
[editline]12th January 2011[/editline]
Oh, I can see some aesthetic changes now.
hey guys is there anything wrong with my bass pickups?
when i play acoustically with the cord plugged in for tuning, the pickups make a buzzing noise when i strum or slap or w/e, this only happens with the cord plugged in because it has active eq

My active EMGs do that, so I don't think so. As long as they work!
the strings on that Shine I bought shred the FUCK out of my picks.
wat the hell

That must have been one deadly ass snake
My tuner is broken so I've been tuning by ear and I have to say I'm quite proud of it. I'm not exactly sure if its in tune or not (like I said, my tuner is broken) but it sounds quite nice.
Gah chords are difficult.
Not playing them, that's easy, but the hard part is placing my fingers/ spacing them so that they don't interfere with the other strings, which I find pretty challenging. :arghfist::frown:
Any tips?
