I'm thinking of getting a Line 6 Pod HD500. Good idea?

I can either buy a TL-2 metal distortion pedal or a Peavey Bandit 112 80 watt. Which would be best? I mostly play thrash metal.

I currently have a Marshall MG50

I'd go with the Peavey Bro.
Also, am I the only one who hates the look of Les Paul copys? The horn is always cut really sharp and it just doesn´t fit at all. LPs are all about the graceful round shapes.
Doesn't bug me much. Hell, I kinda like how the Ibanez ART stuff and ESP Eclipses look more than actual LPs.
unrelated but
I'm kind of glad I can't sweep pick as well as I'd like to because if I could I think that is all that I would do
listening to necrophagist reminded me of this dilemma :v:

I really want a Jazzmaster but I've yet to find one worth the money (IMO). So, kill two birds with one stone for this one since I want P90s and a V :v:
How much?
How can I get my picks to stop eroding on me? After about 2 days of playing, they wind up with a bunch of cuts and jagged edges. I use sandpaper to smooth them out but they start to get really short and hard to hold.
Also, got a Vox VT40+ recently. Sounds fucking awesome, and it's about 300 steps up from that shitty 15W Fender amp I've been stuck with, and one can only use a bass amp for so long.

What the fuck kind of picks are you using?
I mean, I can see wearing through acetal/tortex/delrin gradually, but a slight wear on the picking surface, not anything you'd describe as a "cut." Same for Lexan to a degree but that I can see getting shredded by pure steel strings (I've fucked Stubbies to hell really quickly by alternate picking on shitty strings), and maybe nylon if it was a chunky fucker and not flexible, but a "cut" would just be weird. Unless you're rocking really flimsy stuff like older plastics/celluloids, I've had those virtually explode on me before.
Maybe try an Ultem pick? They're inflexible but durable as hell. Dunlop markets them as "Ultex", you can get them in most of their major shapes, same for Clayton.

Stop sliding the pick down the strings. Or stop using crappy pics.

You should probably use different picks. Something more durable, and thicker.
My personal preference are Clayton 1.26mm's, but that's just me.

Can get one in the UK for £520, dunno where you're located though. List price on their site is $1000~ but it'll definitely be cheaper than that on the street

Use tortex pics they last forever.
Seriously grind it off a brick and it's still awesome, and if you get the triangle ones then 3 points for the price of 1 :v:
hey guys look what I found

Is this awesome y/n?
Oh wow
I really don't know
I'd love to get my hands on that, so ugly but beautiful
Also so glad I got my motivation back, there's nothing better than heading into my room to play some evil licks I make up using the harmonic minor scale
plus I'm getting even better, some of the stuff I'm making up actually sounds pretty good
The actual recording is still hanging, its nothing special anyways just a demo of my cousins microphone setup that i cant borrow due to him using it, but i should have a video up soon of something not related.

Don't get no 80 W amp. It'll be a waste of money. Get a smaller size, it will sound better.
I can agree with the 80W thing. In that photo, I was using an 80W and because of the size of the hall (even though it was fairly big), I was only at about 9 o clock on the dial

Setlist?
Brilliant Constructive guitar criticism
Have a Tool cover
And dont forget that the thin sound is because one guitar is playing, not one in the left and right
Setlist?
Johnny B Goode
Basket Case
Blitzkrieg Bop
Thunderstruck
There was meant to be American Idiot and an intro and outro, but there wasn't time.
Well I ripped the drum samples from my friends copy of Drumkit from Hell, and am using an old copy of FL Studio 6 to put these samples into drum patterns

Now that's much better. I still think it's sloppy though. Like the switch from overdrive to clean sounds very sloppy.
