Someone seems to like System of a Down a lot.
Someone seems to shit post a lot. :v: just kidding! @Patcher, thing I like is that you don't overblow your distortion like alot of the earlier staged guitarists do, The 40 seconds of BYOB were pretty bad first but then it became pretty chill (you still need to learn alot on timing) And from my opinion you can keep going with that sound for some time until you yourself start to hate it.
Getting an epiphone dot soon (when I have enough money.) Excited already :)
What the christ? This thread seems to have 65 pages, but 65th redirects to 64th page.

Oh, now it works.
And from my opinion you can keep going with that sound for some time until you yourself start to hate it.
I don't like my boss DS-1 distortion much to be honest, Can't tell exactly what is wrong with it but it's very sensitive so when you play on first 3 strings and pull more than one string it sounds really ugly even when I'm doing a proper powercord. And also it's more for this thread's favorite stoner metal, but I want a more clean (but in the same time rough like my current one) distortion. I tried ME-25 multieffects and it sounds much better with my guitar than the recordings you heard on the last page so I will be buying it because as a newbie I'm super curios and want to try out every effect and feature without spending thousands of dollars on different pedals to do so. When I will get guitar-older I will know what pedals I want to buy for myself thanks to me-25. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline]
Someone seems to like System of a Down a lot.
I play seasons - tune my guitar to standard to play metallica, nirvana and other bands that play on eadgbe, after one or two months I tune to drop C and play soad. repeat. Drop c and standard have a pretty big gap between them so my guitar gets used to new tuning in 2-3 days when I have to tune it twice a day so it will be a big pain in the ass to re-tune my guitar two times a day to play different music. Things will change when I get a second guitar. Oh and yes, SOAD is my favorite band. I'm not a stereotypic teenager who puts posters all over the room and hates his parents like most of the SOAD fans. Just a normal guy who happens to be a fan of something with a somewhat bad audience. Not every one who plays Xbox360 is a screamy 12 year old. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Sorry, all my punctuation marks had a break when I was typing above post. Too much emotion maybe.
I thought we were all one big happy familiy in this thread.
Yeah. Except we keep a second table at the back for the Line 6 folk.
And people i know that have played longer than me still cant play on time or palm mute properly, so fuck em
That's just a context thing. Some people never actually play with anybody so they never need to "learn" how to stay on a beat. And it makes sense, you can't blame somebody for not knowing they can't hold a beat if they've never been presented with one and told "your X needs to line up with his Y." Kind of like that Clarkson post about the Top Gear band. If an intelligent guy like him (haww) can completely forget that rhythm is part of music, you have to figure other people miss that too.
Yeah. Except we keep a second table at the back for the Line 6 folk.
What are you giving them a perfectly fine table for? And could anyone suggest some groovy bass songs?
Oh and here's my setup. Ibanez GiO GRX40-JU. It's from one of dem jumpstart packages a friend of my uncle brought to play but he had an accident (a newborn child) so he said he wouldn't have time and gave them to me :v: Holy shit it's so awesome you don't even need to play something, just tune to some music radio and it'll do everything for you! Sadly, I achieved that bug only once and haven't had it since so I was forced to actually learn to play the guitar - I mean how high do you need to be to do such thing!? Ohohohoho
Stopped the farting. different song.
Stopped the farting. different song.
I was listening to it as a background music, I enjoyed it.
Stopped the farting. different song.
because muting strings is FOR CHUMPS
Never buy behringer.
Fuck you, I got two Behringer amps and they work fine!
Hey guys since we're all uploading stuff check out my stoner rock settings. It's pretty bad really.
Classic example of forgetting that there are more dials on your amp than just high and volume
Implying I didn't use gain.
Behringer are absolutely horrible for amps. Yes I have tried then.
Oh my, out of all the guitars Ive seen in stores and on the internet, this has to be my favorite.
The neck and body are amazing, the headstock looks like shit I think he posts on UG, I recognise the Explorer on the myspace
yeah I saw the build thread for that one [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] good god my tone is so GOOD http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8598216/searrrrrrrchchchiiiin.mp3
Fuck you, I got two Behringer amps and they work fine!
Behringer works like this: If it works for at least a week, you will get a lifetime of service from it. If it doesn't it is cursed and will forever give you problems. The majority of behringer gear you buy will fit into the latter category. Why do you think everyone was so worried when behringer was lumped together with other great brands like Midas and Klark-Teknik and indeed Bugera under "Music group" (Whos CEO is Uli Behringer)?
I have a Behringer amp right now and it's alright. If I could go back in time though I'd get a different brand cause it's not really all that great.
My friend has a Behringer bass amp but to be honest I don't feel it really helps enhance the sound of his bass all that much.
Oh my
What are some good pedals that sound like the Catalinbread SFT but are less than $150.
I have a behringer bass overdrive pedal and it does shit all.
Just ordered a new amplifier, A Gallien krueger MB115: 200W into a 15" driver with a weight of only 35lbs. Needed it because for logistics reasons I need to leave my main rig away from home. I have had nothing but my microcube which is nowhere near loud enough to rehearse with a drummer. I go from gig to gig in a classic mini, I could get my whole main rig in the mini but it's a squeeze, this should be easier should I need to take it. Can't wait to try it!
So Im assuming that's a bass cab right?
Indeed, Full bass combo. I can't believe how light these digital amps are. This photo says it all: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/286964/Namm%201-13%20%281%20of%201%29-6-1.jpg_595.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh my
What is this magical device sent from the heavens!
So...feels odd to say, but anyone else think the new Variax stuff actually looks pretty sexy? [img_thumb]http://www.sweetwater.com/images/items/1800/JTV69USLRBIS-xlarge.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh my
Do want
