So...feels odd to say, but anyone else think the new Variax stuff actually looks pretty sexy?

If you were given an opion of amps, prioritize mesa, bugera, marshall, peavey or whatever, then line 6, then no amp, then squier affinity strat pack 10w combo.", then behringer stack
Gentlemen, in a couple of weeks I shall be uploading a video of me playing my new guitar. I am going to take suggestions for songs you guys want to hear me do. Right now I'm thinking Glasgow Kiss by John Petrucci, with some improv solos because I'm not John Petrucci and can't play 5 billion notes a second.

Yes, Bugera is the bomb.
I've been spending some quality time with my friends Jackson RR3 this weekend. I offered to set it up because the action was like 3 mm high, now its at a lovely 1.5 mm and it shreds like a mofo. I'm really liking the shape for playing as well, having never really played one before. I have a suspicion I would prefer a King V though.

Oh my
Is there something better than this? I want to see a setup that cannot physically get any better gear.
A guitar hero world tour usb mic is good for recording, right? Any recommended programs?
They work, they don't sound great though.
If you're doing a quick bit of simple recording, I recommend Audicity.
If you're doing more than a quick bit of recording and doing it a little more seriously, I recommend Reaper.
yes reaper is excellent and you can use the free trial for ever

Oh god, oh god oh god oh god! I'm in love
I
want
a
fucking
FENDER TORNADO!
There's a close-to-nothing sound in my amplifier and when I touch the volume knobs/bridge the sound stop. They're both made out of metal. Could it be electricity?
Personally for me my dream guitar for soft music:

Dream guitar for heavy music:

I will have them both one day. I don't care if there is any better ones, I like these.
Also Ibanez Iceman because Daron play one.
Patcher, thoughts often change.. well I think so because in my younger guitar playing months/years I always got fascinated by different guitars and I was like "I am so going to get one of these when I get older" And now I ended up somewhere 200 miles far away, and I am absolutly satisfied with my decission :v: I have my dream guitar!

Love you PRS
I got to admit that that silverburst finish looks nice, but I've seen prettier PRS's.
Got into a band because of the performance I did with one on Friday night. There is a gig in March, which'll be fun.
cool :buddy:
Do you still play guitar, or have you ditched it for bass alone?
I got to admit that that silverburst finish looks nice, but I've been prettier PRS's.
You've been PRS? Show me :v:
I actually like the simple-ness, it's just something I never would get sick off! I have an prestige heritage elite sunburst les paul aswell so if I want some bright shining stuff or whatever on my guitar I just take that one :v: Also the prs is the only Baritone from them and I would'nt get such an tone or playability from an regular PRS!
[editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
Oh well then I show my other guitar for the 3rd time in this thread.
If I want shits and stuff on my guitar I just play my other guitar!

Can you guys believe that I got that guitar by mistake completly new and original un-used for 399€?
[editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
Need to mention that it was originally around 2300€ that time, now its something among 2k€
The more you know: Les Pauls have the same build and electronics as a studio but are crapper due to the bland look
Ie buy a fucking LP studio

Fuck that, 1100 is still too much for that load of crap. I mean, why can't Gibson atleast throw on tuners that are atleast decent. I mean grovers are alright, but I'm just goin to replace em anyway. This is why Ive gone custom since my tele partscaster.
Here she is,

Dude wat
What do you DO with two bassists?
Is one of you like a crazy Burton-style player with ridiculous bass solos and the other a "rhythm bassist" or something?

Not enough bass.
I'm also the bassist and vocalist of my band :buddy:
It's a shame though that I am better/learn faster than the rest of my band mates, I would love to play with people who have the same skill level/ability to learn.

I distort mine and do rhythm bass. if need be I can use my wah wah as well.
[editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
Peter is able to do more complex things than I can so it makes sense for him to carry on with that until I improve more.
Anyone remember Live Earth 2007 UK? - The bass jam with like 15 bass players. :v:
Haha, Found it

Same here, you have one of my dream guitars :buddy:
My dream guitars used to be your typical solidbody metal guitars, now it's PRS/Fenders all the way :v: (Jackson for thrash though because I will always love thrash)
My list: PRS C22 Hardtail, PRS SE Baritone, American Fender Strat, Jackson KV2. And I haven't really done my research on acoustic guitars, but I really want a nice one.

My list:
Schecter C7 Hellraiser (but refitted with a hardtail)
PRS C24 baritone refitted with coil-tapped EMG's
A Tele refitted with a single humbucker, probably a CrunchLab or LiquiFire
And my present beauty, my Paul Allender PRS
Oh, one single Floyd Rose guitar would be pretty cool too, so I guess a Floyd-equipped ESP.
Also, a 7-string ESP EX, black with gold hardware and EMG 707's.
