First recording: Add a little bass, too high-pitch-y
Second recording: The highest note sorta hit you in the ears violently.
Adjust your equalizer.

Also, you guys know Daron's guitar right?

Clearer photo but it's a replica:

Well guess what I have noticed today before going to sleep:

I still found it funny but being a hardcore EVA fanboy I can't not love the new one :v:
Oh I'm sure it'll be back, if he keeps up his abuse of the smug rating it'll be reinstated for duty
It's like the alt of the alt account I have, it's always on standby
[sp]I knew you'd like it[/sp]
What sort of plastic do you think is the best to make guitar picks out of? I've tried the glass-plastic on CD-covers and the thing that holds the CD-plastic, but they haven't worked that well.
I'm out of picks and the music shop is far away.
Old Debit/Credit cards and gift certificate cards work alright.
Or maybe you can spend a dollar on a real one? :v:
Also: :aaa:
turns out it's not that difficult to discuss anime and still have it guitar related
Well we're not going to derail the thread or anything, that's what PMs are for.
Also on topic, I'm very close to mastering the Harmonic Minor scale and I can improvise some pretty sweet stuff with it already.
Quite proud of myself

I saw some of his work before and he is quite great. He covers mostly themes from animes and games but he plays them greatly.
I saw some of his work before and he is quite great. He covers mostly themes from animes and games but he plays them greatly.
yeah this is what I meant when I posted earlier
playing guitar can be relevant to just about any other topic
it's not like I was saying we were getting off topic or something cause that's like the nerdiest thing you can do
[editline]23rd January 2011[/editline]
who cares if it's off topic anyway
Yes, So I'm looking into buying some effects and stuff. More specifically a wah pedal. I mostly (attempt to :downs:) play Metallica, So besides spending $160+ on the Hammett Signature wah, as sexy looking of a beast it may or may not be, Any suggestions?

Black Mesa Theme!(?) I was gonna do that, although what I had in my mind was 3x less awesome.
Also, anyone know if this thing is any good?

Yum, black shielding paint from stewmac.

What do you think of the worn finish? was going for that grainy/oiled warwick look.
The hell is black shielding paint
I should post some picks of my guitar being made, we glued the wood together today.

I find it odd that I don't see them listed on any other stores, or that the quality is so hard to find (assuming it's 16bit 44.1kHz), but I can't imagine it'd be that bad.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to get some of that.

Yes
I'm probably going to be the only one who finds this interesting, but:

On the one hand, ooh, new modeling tech. On the other hand...why is there no actual information on mechanism used to "profile" amps? If you already assume someone to own the amp in question, why would they buy this and set up mic position variants if they could just make their own impulse responses with the gear they already own and use the real amp? If the tech is reliable, why not sell it with a premade library of amps "profiled" in a studio setting?
Also, mother of fuck, Orange made a computer.

Sweet mother of god. I need one of those computers.

but
can it run Crysis?

The quality will probably suffice especially if it isn't for high quality recordings. There really aren't a lot of reviews about it, but the ones I've seen have been positive.

Would Probably be better than me plugging a line from the output of my amp to the Line In or Mic on my PC, wouldn't it?

If I had the money I'd get it.
that modelling amp is quite interesting, but the fact that you have to own the moddeling amp, a pre amp, a computer, recording software, the actual amp that you are modelling and about a hundred dollars worth of cable kind of puts me off.
orange computer is great though, how much is it gonna cost?

Yea, i don't quite understand the practicality of that. Its certianly awesome technology, Best use I'd see is taking it to a music store and profiling the amps to save money?
