the progression of SBAHJ is fascinating. for a while it seemed like he was drifting more into majorly hand-drawn assets instead of reusing parts from earlier comics and making them look shittier, but this latest one is kind of a combo of both

it's also interesting because the hand drawn assets of SBAHJ give weird insights into shifts in his art style. for example, the very earliest SBAHJs had much thinner lines whereas the new ones are thicker, which is a change that is reflected in MSPA. compare early homestuck to john's timeline-warping reactions from falling through the comic. before he would use a lot of thin lines to imply detail, but they all got heavier for some reason (clearly a manifestation of his latent fat fetish)

I would imagine it'd be 13/4/2014, seeing as that would make it exactly 5 years old and also is plenty of time to get everything done.
