I don't know why Homestuck meetups are things. As a fan of the comic the last thing i want to see is other fans of the comic.

Because the only thing worse than a meet with mostly fifteen year olds is one where there are also twenty five year old grabbing their butts.
I've stopped going to meets ages ago. I just see the few people I made friends with at past meets.

dave's is alright but the rest are really weird looking

Eh, it can be fun to hang out with and meet other fans if they happen to be the respectful, friendly, and fun types. I go to meetups on occassion near my town and have never had any weird or bad experiences.
It just depends on the people, really.

The models really aren't that bad, they just have a few faults about them but they're not there to be perfect, they're just novelties

these were in development for over a year, and softowl mentioned they wanted to keep the designs iconic and easily recognizable. i really have no interest in buying these, but how could they not render them how they are in comic? that's what homestuck looks like.

BabyFawnLegs proved that lankier homestuck characters can look great in 3D so for whatpumpkin to work on these for over a year and then get this means there's really no excuse, it's not like they can't afford it.
But why does Jade's rifle have an AR-15 style stock, an AK-style fire selector and neither ironsights nor any kind of sight mount?

I have issues with cartoonish guns because they usually don't make any sense.
(The fire selector in itself is fine, though. Have to use that thing every few days and I find the one on my airsoft M4 feels weird now. I kinda prefer the more-difficult-to-use design.)
