homestuck hasn't been consistently good for a long time now
when I decided that is fluctuates on re-reads but I'm willing to narrow down on "some time near the very beginning of Act 6" as a definitive "this shit isn't good anymore" point

for me it's:
Acts 1-3: really good
Intermission: best part of the comic
Act 4: pretty alright
Act 5: more frequent low points but still pretty alright
Cascade: fuck yeah that was great
Lord English Flash: FUCK YEAH THAT WAS GREAT
Act 6: *the high-pitched whine and farting sound of a very large balloon slowly deflating*

because I used to like it and it's fun to see someone post a WV flash and to think "aww yeah remember that, that was good"
forgive me for thinking that the story isn't as good when the entire latter half of act 6 has been "hey look something interesting might happen oh no wait actually the interesting thing glitched out, time to switch to something else and switch again right before it gets interesting"
honestly the only reason I plan on reading the ending is because I don't want to miss it if Slick shows up (which, something interesting I've noticed, things involving Slick, the Felt, or any other Midnight Crew members are one of the few genuinely interesting things that is never suddenly cut away from)
I wanna stick around for the end of Homestuck to see if the ending is good and I wanna stick around for whatever succeeds Homestuck because I want to read something that Hussie actually seems to enjoy writing again.

sometimes a guy wants to articulate his opinions and sometimes a guy just wants to bitch
like towards the latter half of act 6 hussie seems to have stopped giving any sort of shit given the frequent cutaways and the "nah let's just not finish this scene" pixie dust and that kinda makes a guy not wanna give a shit about articulating why he doesn't like homestuck anymore

i don't think anyone in this thread cares about mspa as much as they once did
my interest dropped off soon after cascade i think
while i wouldn't go as far as to say i dislike it, my ability to care has definitely waned
To be honest I only first really cared about Homestuck because it was a bunch of funny kids doing funny things. Yeah, there was some not funny things mixed in there, but they were cool as shit.
Meaning the first 3 or 4 acts were probably my favorite.
I wonder if Homestuck would make any sense with the trolls removed...
Even more important, would it be better?

I don't like Act 6 because there's so much pandering to the audience, it was better when it was being funny for the sake of being funny

I haven't gotten tired of Homestuck at all, but Act 6 had way too much of Hussie focusing on insulting Tumblr and annoying people than being funny.
